We had dinner and lunch here during our week. For lunch, we had a mushroom pasta and a vegetarian salad which were excellent. For dinner we were driven up with a military snow wagon. 3 course meal. The vegetarian option was not so good. The others seemed pleased. Lovely setting overall. Good value for lunch, not so for dinner.

Service was horrendous. I had a table booked for 4 but I cancelled because we joined our friends at a table of 3 saving the busy restaurant 1 place. Once we sat down they told us we had to leave as we had been at the table for an hour. I will never come back.

Burger was bad prefab patty and over priced beer. 105 sek for a can you can get a pint of same beer at gondola station for 84.

Avoid unless you are starving!

A very cozy lodge out in the wilderness with beautiful views! I strongly recommend to visit Buustamons Fjällgård and to eat when you are hiking or skiing around the mountains of Åre, both in the summer and in the winter. They have a wide selection of Swedish dishes that you can eat.

We got there at 13:30, we got on the wait list that said 30 minutes. It took 15 minutes untill we got the menues. 14:25 we placed our orders. 14:52 we got our food.

It's not possible to book a time for lunch. It's open for lunch from 11:00-15:00.
The rush goes from 11:30-14:00 on a busy day.

If you have to wait for a table you can hang out at a cozy corner with quite a few spots to sit. There is a little bar where they sell cookies/cakes and some drinks as you wait. We waited for about 30 minutes but staff only passed by the bar once in that time.

Our interaction with the staff wasn't the greatest. Most of them were stressed and just focused on their "rules". For example wouldn't let us move our tables together so we could all sit closer.

We got a little lecture on what not to do when we tried to switch tables with another guest so we could sit close enough to talk all 7 of us. Really ruined the whole atmosphere.

Another staff member showed up and moved us to another table where we could sit together. (Clearly understaffed and didn't manage the stress well. During the busy weeks of the season, get more staff)

They didn't communicate that the food was taking longer than usual. We asked what was taking so long after 30 minutes wait and they explained. (With an early heads up and a snack the situation could have been saved)

Once we got our food 2 out of 5 burgers were overcooked, while 3 were medium like they promised. Tiny portion of 30 fries comes with the burger. Tasty and crispy.

The goulash was really tasty!

Room for improvement for sure, mostly easy fixes.

Review from last year: ordered a burger and the paddy was well done and a bit underwhelming. Cozy atmosphere and nice staff otherwise!

A vey cozy place, food tastes good and stuffs are serving well also. They have a waiting hall for seats in busy hours and you can also take a rest in their balcony having a some hot drink and enjoy the sun. The price is similar to other restaurants in the middle, which still a bit expensive, but consider the food, environment and service, highly recommended!
