Review Visit: March 23rd, 2014 So just how EPIC! is Epic Burger? Well, not all too epic, actually. My dad and I came here after visiting Shedd's Aquarium and were hoping for some really EPIC!! food. What we got was decent food and some unsatisfied taste buds. Now the food wasn't terrible. But it wasn't EPIC!!! It was just a bit too greasy and a bit light on flavor. We ordered a meal each and the total was about $17-19, so not bad for two people. But 5 Guys is way better, IMO. That is a great burger place to go. SmashBurger even. Those are EPIC!!!! Epic Burger.. not so much. Maybe it will be EPIC!!!!! for you. Maybe not. They have locations all over the Chicagoland area, so if you do want to try it for yourself, they are not too hard to find. There are actually too many locations for me to list without this blog post becoming super long.

I hadn't been to Epic Burger in years, but I decided to stop in after an afternoon of shopping. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who took our order. My sister and I both ordered burgers, fries, and Pepsi. The bill was about $40 for the two of us. The burgers were well proportioned, flavorful, and tasty. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. My sister ordered hers with cheese and bacon. I opted to keep it simple with lettuce, tomato, and various condiments. The fries were so plentiful that neither of us finished them. In retrospect, we agreed that we could have shared a serving. We dined in and found the location clean and comfortable. I'd visit this Epic Burger franchise again for sure.

My first time trying Epic burger was probably what I expected. The burger and fries were just fine for a fast food restaurant. The space was clean and fairly empty for a Saturday afternoon. I would not go out of my way to come back but I also wouldn't be against coming back if a friend suggested.

I decided to stop in when I had some time to kill and was feeling peckish. It was busy but I didn't have to wait long to order or for my food. I appreciate that they have vegetarian and vegan options and enjoyed building my own burger so I could customize it my way. I opted for a beyond burger with a wheat bun, Epic Sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, and added avocado. I also ordered a small fry. I appreciated that they deliver your food to your table so you don't have to listen for your order and jump up to grab it. Overall the food hit the spot. It's a good option for the neighborhood.

I work in the area and Epic Burger has good product. But it's IMPOSSIBLE to get any food in a timelymanner. I have a 30 min lunch break. If if I order ahead of time for a specific pick up time, I've always had to wait at least 15 minutes to get my food. Spoiler alert, my lunch break is half over. It's disappointing and I dont think I'll be giving this location any more money (or precious time).

I've been to a few epic burgers around town and as per fast foot goes it's pretty solid for the price range and quality. I usually go for the classic epic or the cowboy. They have been pretty consistent with how they prepare their burger nice amount of caramelization and charring on the burgers and good toppings. It always comes out like the picture and the fries nice and crisp with different options as well. Service is pretty fast and consistent. Never had wait. Nice and casual place to get a great burger.
