Beautiful ramen with variety of meat toppings.

I had the special shoyu ramen, the soup was clean, delicious. Tasted as it looks.

There are seasonal specials, the price 2025 New Year special was a black truffle mazesoba, my partner ordered this - it was and delicious.

Service was nice but you need to wait outside; so the flow is reserve online > show up and wait outside > go in to order food using the machine > wait outside > finally go in to eat.

No doubt why this is one of Tokyo’s best ramen shops. Came here a few years and had a killer bowls of Shoyu and finally returned to try the Shio. This is a richer bowl of Shio because of the generous topping of chicken oil, but enjoyable through and through. All of the toppings are top quality and the an attention to detail is evident in the noodles, broth and presentation. Each bowl that I saw go out made my mouth water. As a fan of 90s hip-hop, this shop has hands down the best playlist of any ramen shop I’ve ever visited!

Very good shoyu ramen. The toppings were really well done and the soup was executed beautifully; HOWEVER, cost performance is very poor and while I think this shop definitely deserves some merit, it's certainly over-hyped and definitely over-priced for what you pay for and get in return.

1. The whole reservation system, while maybe understandable in some way, feels a bit snooty (especially for what you get in the end).

2. Pricing is insane, again, for what you get in the end, doesn't feel worth it considering there are cheaper and just as if not even better delicious ramen shops in Tokyo for a fraction of the price with no reservation system. 2100 yen for the special shoyu, 290yen for extra noodles, another 390 yen just to reserve, total 2780 yen for a bowl of ramen...it's good, but not THAT good.

Soup: honestly beautifully executed, very good.

Noodles: weak point - they were slightly over-cooked which is a real shame.

Toppings: very, very well done on the toppings - each topping was beautifully executed.

Cost Performance: very poor - this place and its prices would do well in North America where good ramen is scarce and they are able to charge exuberant prices, but in Tokyo? Nah...one and done for me.

The best “Tanrei-kei” Shoyu ramen ever!

First of all, as of Dec 2023, this shop only allows people who put names on their wait list, no walk-ins allowed. The shop itself opens from 11:30, however they start putting the paper wait list in front of the store from 9:30 or even earlier, I recommend you to go before store open to secure your spot. If you are goin on weekend, you want to go there around 9am just to be safe. For example, we visited on Thursday around 10am, earliest spot we could get was 2pm. Then you are required to come back to the shop 15min prior to your reserved time slot. This system is convenient however complicated and could be difficult for tourists, I just wanted to explain the system here.

We tried Shoyu ramen with wonton and Shio ramen. They were both fantastic! As soon as Shoyu ramen came out, the aroma of chicken fat and soy sauce with hint of yuzu hit me and I was already happy. The soup was clear but fatty, so flavorful. Of course they use no MSG, the flavor all comes from the stock and chicken oil they create, it is salty but the saltiness is rounded/mild, I really enjoyed the soup. Noodle was thin straight noodle, the texture was great and it went really good with the soup. toppings were interesting. I got wontons and 2 different cha shu with green onion, bamboo shoots. Wontons were ok but cha shu stood out. They were both sous vid or at least cooked in low temperature. Meat was tender and seasoned well. One of them was really smoky but it did not interfere with the soup.

One thing I will not repeat was the size up. I paid 290yen to have large size but I did not feel like it was much more than regular size, not worth extra 290yen.

We also tried Shio flavor, the soup was extremely clear but incredibly flavorful. It was full of umami, I love Shio ramen but sometimes you taste salt directly, this ramen was well balanced and the soup was just amazing.

With that being said, I enjoyed the ramen a lot, thank you so much for the experience!

I had the shio ramen (特上塩ラーメン) which was spectacular! The broth was absolutely amazing -I think that was my favorite part.

I happened to be in the area around 9:30am and there was a spot open for 3pm so I was able to write my name on the reservation list! Lucky day :)

It is a popular spot so many people get to the restaurant around 9am to secure a spot for lunch. They only take 4 people per 15 minute slots so get there early. It's definitely worth it!

I will definitely be going again since the rice bowl side dish was sold out & I want to try more toppings.
