Food.
First, the soup was good. A bit clear, but aromatic. The koay teow was a bit overcooked to me, but still acceptable. Meatballs and lean meat also good. The meatballs also good but I personally like more their fishball.
I would say overall it was a good taste.
I ordered the black coffee and I think it was a good one, I like their coffee as it is quite thick, even without sugar the coffee still tastes good.

Service.
I really like the friendliness, and how they serve the food fast. Once they serve you need to pay accordingly. They only accept cash if I’m not misunderstand.

Place.
I super like how traditional the ambience is. A strong old Chinese style feeling.

Price.
As of Oct 2024, I would say it is still OK and reasonable.

Parking.
As I see, parking could be challenging. You will park roadside and might take a bit walk.

Dropped by this place for lunch on a weekday afternoon, thought it might be crowded but there were seats available in front of the stall. There were more seats inside the shophouse the first one next to the stall but the feeling of sitting outside is definitely more authentic and traditional.
There's not many things in the menu and the signature is the kuey teow soup, however you may choose the dry one if your preference is dry noodles.
Basically just have to choose dry or soup, then the type of noodles and the size and just get ready for it to be served.  There are sides like vegetables or bean sprout chicken which also can choose from, and I chose the latter.
The bowl of noodles looked so simple, but the soup is light yet flavourful. The kuey teow was soft and silky it was a very good combination together.  What caught my attention was the different types of meatballs in different sizes, all tasted very good and I wished I could have more of those. Very delicious and tasty.
The beansprout chicken looks nice but wasn't really to my liking, especially the skin. It tasted rubbery and it didn't have much of a taste, so I removed the skin and had the chicken. The beansprouts may not to be of some people's liking as it was very quickly blenched and the taste was still very raw, it was acceptable to me though.
Was a decent meal I thought the soup kuey teow was well executed and should visit the place to try this dish.
Very reasonable prices too.

My 2nd visit after a very long time to give it a fare 2nd try. Verdict - average, will I come back? Answer: No. The most important thing for any soup base is the soup taste. It doesn't have the clear authentic soup taste. Probably it was cooked together with all other add-ons, hence lost the authentic taste. They have reasonable no. of add-ons for those who love add-ons with reasonable price. Saw many tables ordered the add-on chicken, so I also ordered 1 plate to give it a try. It comes with bean sprout at the bottom with some chicken meat on top. The skin is very rubbery, the meat tough. Bean sprout were skinny. It wasn't special or good. Definitely not a place that I would recommend for those going for a good authentic Koay Teow Soup, other than those who love add-ons. Pricing wise, they are quite reasonable.

Ordered 6rm small koay teow tang but i asked for yellow noodle as well

Koay teow was soft and slurp right down yellow noodles a bit overcooked. Just slightly only so no al dente. Has 3 different meatball i think my preferred was the small beef? Balls. White one more like fish cake also very good very bouncy. The large one at first i thought very nice because it was surprisingly sweet but then it became too porky.

There were also shreded chicken.

Recently very well-known so decide to try it out. Order KTT and chicken with bean sprouts. Service very fast. But when i try the soup my heart breaks. How could this be? It is almost tasteless. I have to add soya sauce and pepper to inject some life into my bowl of noodles. I can't believe this is the famous KTT everybody talking about. The meatball, fishball and chicken bits in my bowl are common quality, nothing special. Next i try the chicken with beansprouts. Another heartbreaking moment. The chicken meat looks strange and beansprouts overcooked. I suspect and believe its not really poached chicken per se but chicken that has been previously boiled with other ingredients to make soup base for their KTT.  So the chicken meat has become rough, stringy, dry and shrunken. Its sweetness and flavours has already leaked into their KTT soup base. Thats the reason the chicken meat look strange to me. They have many add-ons too but looking at the individual prices i don't bother and i am happy i didn't. It a clever way of earning extra when some of the add-ons like vegetable should already be in my bowl of KTT in the first place. I truly miss hawkers of the old days. Overall, a very disappointing meal. I can easily find much better KTT elsewhere in Penang and there are plenty. Anyway the damage to my wallet - RM 16.
