Wonderful experience at Ki-sho. A bit on the pricier side but was worth it for the unique fine-dining experience. Ki-sho @kishosg has always been on my list of special dining spots, and stepping into this elegant black-and-white house just adds to the charm. This time, I got to experience their Winter menu, crafted by their new Head Chef, Kawaii Hideki.

Chef Hideki, originally from Osaka, has been in the culinary world for over 30 years. He even ran his own restaurant before passing it on to his apprentice and making the move to Singapore. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to Ki-sho with a kappou-style omakase that highlights the best seasonal ingredients from Japan.

I went for the new 7-course lunch menu ($168++), and it was a beautifully curated experience, with each course showcasing top-quality ingredients.

▪️The meal started off with Sakizuke, a beautiful appetizer featuring Kuruma Ebi, Hotate, Bafun Uni, and Caviar.

▪️Next was Otsukuri, a selection of seasonal sashimi, each slice showcasing the freshness of Japan’s best seafood.

▪️For Sushi, we had Ankimo (monkfish liver), which was creamy and packed with umami.

▪️Then came the Shizakana, a comforting kinki goma nabe

▪️For the main course, there was a choice between Katsu Sawara or A5 Omi Wagyu (with a $50 supplement).

▪️Shokuji was a satisfying Sakura Ebi Donabe

▪️Finally, we ended on a refreshing note with Mizugashi, featuring Ichigo Jelly with seasonal fruits
