Like every other tourist visiting long bar we came to get the famous “original” Singapore sling! While the line to get in was long they turn over guests very quickly so there was probably 50 people ahead of us and we had a table within 20-25 min. It was very quick. Of course upon first entering you notice the old school charm of this cocktail bar with the peanuts on the table (and floor) and the slings being lined up on the bar. They must make thousands per day. The original shock of a $40 cocktail we learned was actually not insane as the other places we visited in Singapore drinks were just as expensive so it’s all relative but the atmosphere was so fun and worth it for the experience. Unfortunately for us our server disappeared so while we may have ordered a second cocktail we decided after 30 min of trying to flag anyone down to just grab our bill and head elsewhere. For a one time experience this was super fun! I would not go again but if I had never done it, I would reccomend it!

A must do in Singapore for the history and experience. The Singapore slings were delicious, far better than any others we have tried. They weren't cheap though.... I didn't expect the peanuts and all the shells to be on the floor. I guess it adds to the experience and atmosphere. It was great to do once.

Recently visited the Long Bar at Raffles in Singapore. Everyone who visits Singapore should have this special experience at least once!

We had a bit of a wait to get in, it’s very popular. We eventually got a lovely table, the atmosphere is fabulous with the slow moving overhead fans and the old fashioned service.

The Singapore Slings we’re delicious (expensive, but you’re paying for the experience). The big bag of peanuts was fun - definitely not a place if you have a nut allergy!)

Lovely place when you want to try the original Singapore Sling. It is actually one of my favourite cocktails, and I had to go to the bar where it originated from.
Came on Saturday evening alone, around 9 pm, and had to wait maybe 15 min to enter - which I found really decent. I was seated at the bar, which turned out to be really cool, as I met pleasant people who also came alone to chat with, which made the evening really pleasant.
The bar has a really moody and cool atmosphere - I love the mechanic old timey ventilators on the ceiling, mechanized shakes, prohibiton-like feeling. The service is fantastic - attentive, quick and professional.
Everyone was served with a bag of peanuts, that you can snack on all evening - that was nice. Fun quirk was throwing the peanut shells on a floor, that gave the bar funky atmosphere again.
Cocktails were fantastic - very tasty and spot on. Really amazing.
I missed a bit of small bar snacks (except the peanuts), I came in a bit hungry.
