# 世界豆漿大王 – World Soy Milk King, 24/7 Taiwanese Breakfast Spot in Taipei

I was apparently here in early 2016, before the renovation that gave the restaurant a modern, fresh look. I ordered a savory soy milk and the pan fried xiaolongbao, the dumplings were delicious! But the soy milk felt diluted and heavy on vinegar, nowhere near my expectations. Good thing is they are open 24/7 so it's easy to get a little snack anytime you feel like.

Food is ok , nothing to write home about . We got the Taiwan raddish pastry 蘿蔔絲餅, fried bread stick （you tiao ）油條，xiao long bao 小籠包, Cantonese radish cake with egg 港式蘿蔔糕加蛋, iced charcoal soy milk 冰炭香豆漿, pork Patties pastry 豬肉餡餅、Chinese chive pickets 韭菜盒子. Spent total $405 NT . **the soy milk has a burnt taste , if you like that style , then you will like it . To me it is like drinking something that accidentally burnt it , would have complained until my sister says this is deliberate . **The portions are smaller then other establishments and little more expensive. ** the fried bread stick is suppose to be crunchy and airy , it's hard and stale like it was from night before and they just refried it which is disappointing since that's the highlight of soy milk plus fried bread stick . ** the pork pasties are so small not like the picture , looks like 2 pan fried xiao long bao ** the chive pocket flavor is good , they have lots of chives in it and the dried shrimp flavor is strong . Overall , Like I said , it was good but nothing to brag about and had better.

My wife and I had jet lag and knew this place opens 24 hours. Their salty soy bean milk is quite small but their chives pancake was fresh and good. 燒餅油條 is also very good. Great breakfast to start the day before all the hustling and bustling. You won't be alone eating at 5am in the morning in this place. Service was quick at this place. At least eight people cooking for you at that time of the day which is incredible.

I honestly love this place so much. I always have to come here whenever I'm in Taiwan for the super good and super cheap salty soy milk. I've had almost everything on their menu and I can pretty much say that you can't go wrong with ordering here. A typical breakfast for me and friend include the following items: - salty doujiang: soy milk that comes in a bowl and I always add a bit of vinegar to bring out the taste - extra servings of you tiao: fried bread to dip in the doujiang - xiao long bao: soup dumplings. There is vinegar, ginger, and soy sauce on a little cart to the side of the room - niu rou xian bing: round dumpling with beef inside, kind of like a meat pie - luobo gao: turnip cake, great with just soy sauce I'll usually also try a few new items every time, but these are the things I typically order, especially the first three. Note that the menu is in chinese! My own mandarin is not that great so whenever I come here I'll either ask for stuff I know or I'll look at the food displays in the window. The display has both english and chinese so it's fairly easy to match up the things that look good to the check boxes on the menu. After checking everything you just hand the paper to the front and pay. Your food will come out to your table super quickly. Did I mention they were open 24 hours? So, no matter how late or how early my flight out of Taiwan is, I always make sure to stop by here for one last meal.

If you want a classic local Taiwanese breakfast, this is the place to go. Everything here is super cheap and made right in the open kitchen next door. I recommend the You Tiao with soy bean milk, but they also have Xiao Long Bao. Egg Pancakes, and other taiwanese breakfast items that you can definitely try out. I haven't tried their dim sum items, so I can't really say about those, but the you tiao is definitely something to try out if you want a traditional taiwanese breakfast. The service here is okay, they mostly focus on trying to get people in and out as fast as possible because there tends to be a line out front.

Some of the best Taiwanese breakfast food I've ever had. I ordered the egg roll, egg shao bing, sweet soy milk (cold), savory soy milk, turnip cake. My favorite was the egg roll (dan bing). This is usually my favorite dish, and this place did not disappoint. I also liked the turnip cake (luo bo gao). It was grilled to perfection. My cousins' favorite was the savory soy milk. I didn't try it for myself but they said it was super flavorful and it's their favorite savory soy milk in the city. They ended up ordering more to take home!

Their soy milk is really good. Has a faint burnt soy taste - which hopefully mean its made from real soy beans rather than reconstituted. Comes in cold, warm and hot, with or without sugar. There is also a selection of foods to choose from. Most are pretty good, but nothing amazing. Heads up there's usually a line. However, they are super fast and the wait is usually only a couple of minutes (guessing 10 min max if there's a massive line). Make sure you know what you want by the time you order, else people may get inpatient... There is no actual parking, but people just park (sometimes double park) on the street.

A lot of delicious traditional Taiwanese breakfast eats here! This place is a local destination. The menu is all in Chinese, but they have a few displays with English out front. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. Also really close to MRT. Only downside for me was there's only white vinegar and no black vinegar. I would definitely come back here again.

Although there are a number of places serving traditional Taiwan breakfast in the area, none are as well known as this restaurant. You can enjoy their food and soy milk at any time of the day, as it is open 24/7. I had their breakfast everyday for more than a week and my favourite items were the egg pancake and the rice roll. Their soy milk is also very good (the place is called world soybean magnate afterall!), and even the sweetened version isn't very sweet, which is a good thing. Their steamed buns (pork/BBQ pork/or just plain) are also pretty decent and so are their xiao long baos. Their fried dough fritters (you tiao) were disappointing though - more often than not, they were over fried and were way too light, lacking actual dough. I should also add that a lot of their food is pretty oily so stay away if you don't like excessively oily food. The quality of the food fluctuates daily as I have had somewhat cold items served to me but at the end of the day, this is a great, cheap place to have a decent breakfast.
