I've known about this F&B chain over a year ago when I was approached to help it expand into the US. The owner has built a network of around 100 locations with 3-4 concepts. Out of all the concepts this was clearly my favorite. The menu was simple enough and the food can be served in about 5 minutes from the time of the order. My wife and I chose their more popular Thai flavored noodles/ramens that are not seafood. We chose the pork sour spicy ramen (200NT/ $7) and the Shio Koji pork sour spicy ramen (250NT/ $8). Both were rather flavorful BUT definitely not the best. I would say the noddles are solid 4-stars. The portion is definitely on the smaller side though. So don't expect to be full if you have an appetite. The service and the decor are both 4+ and 3+ stars respectively. Thai concept should thrive in the US since Americans do enjoy the sour and spicy flavor. Hopefully you will see Very Thai near you in the near future!

SUMMARY: A fusion Asian noodle soup place that reminds me a lot of typical fusion Asian noodle soup places that I cannot stand in the SF Bay area. Will definitely not return. Note: This is a review of the place in the Eslite Hotel. Not sure if this is the same one (No.98 Yanchang Road, 菸廠路98號, Xinyi District, 台北市 110, Taiwan). BACKGROUND Shopping w/ the wife, her sister, and my wife's best friend sometimes brings out the impatient beast in me. I think many men can understand that when the wimmin' folk get together and try to accommodate each other's preferences, it gets nowhere quick and polite frustrations start to come out. So I had to make a decision before I went out of my mind. Unfortunately I picked the place w/ the restaurant w/ the brightest, most appealing fascade in the Eslite plaza. FOOD Uggh. This is why I just can't stand fusion food. It's a blend of great things from different food cultures and the flavors are boiled down to the center of mushiness and mediocrity that appeals to no one. I ordered a Thai inspired curry soup dish called "Thai curry style w/ chicken drumstick". The curry was so lacking in flavor that I had to accent it with a ton of vinegar chilis (which was the best part of the meal---but not later on that night). The noodles were way past al dente and the only redeeming part of the meal was the drumstick. My wife ordered something more elaborate called Tom Yum Kung Seafood which looked grand, but she didn't say she liked it so much. We skipped their black tea soft serve because I think we were all a bit disappointed except her sister who seemed to love this shizzle. ATMOSPHERE Very well done. Got my eyeballs enough to choose this place. Too bad the food and service didn't quite match the decor. SERVICE Didn't see the waitress at all after our meals were served. Not a single follow up water or service check.

Very efficient and affordable food. Needed a quick meal, yet wanting to avoid 'fast food' I chose this based on Yelp reviews. Ordered the seafood and pork set meal with kimchee and Black volcano soft serve (sesame). Found it very flavorful and adequate portions. As an American, I very much appreciated the prompt service and patient staff accommodating my language inefficiency. No reason I wouldn't return.
