Great atmosphere! Loved the music and ambiance. It's a very chill place to come to. Came on a Saturday night and was immediately seated which is always a plus. However there were still plenty of people. Would come back again when I'm in town. The crowd was also great -- a nice diverse crowd of expats and locals!

Barcode is a really nice lounge. Located quite close to the Taipei 101 Building. I came with one​ of my local friends who brought me here after dinner. The ambiance seems quite classy with it's low dim lights, beautiful decor, and a nice bar too. There is also an open outside area that happened to be closed that day. Nice windows all around, very lounging type of mixes by DJ. We had a few mixed cocktails... A Long Island Iced Tea, and also a Gin on Tonic. The drinks here are nicely mixed, at least much better than the other places I've been to in Taiwan. A very classy place with people mostly Foreigner​ like me sitting around the bar. I assume during the week they're​ not as busy. I saw mostly people dressed in their business attire. But still a bit casual because I was semi casual with my tennis shoes. Lol. The service is decent. The waiter​ made sure we were catored to. Came back a few times to check and change my seat... From a stool to a lazy chair. I thought that was nice of him. The funny part was I didn't know he was charging my seat while I was standing. He pulled the chair on me while I was at it, and I sat my @ss on the ground. How embarrassing! Lol. I really like this place, and will go back the next time I'm in Taipei.

Barcode is a very nice lounge. They had a 500 nt cover on saturday night but i don't know if that's the norm since it was the first time I ever went. It came with two drink tickets that gets you a beer and a mixed drink (works with anything under a certain price though so even shots). The ambiance is pretty cool and the music very loungey. Bathrooms are nice and clean. We wanted to sit at the bar since we didn't have a table and the people around will gladly arrange seating for you if you ask. One of us had to stand out of 4 but it wasn't bad considering that it was already kind of packed. There's a club hiddin within the lounge but I believe that it is invite only. The bartenders are patient and recommend things and their menu is really nice. Really leather if i remember. I just like how clean and chill the whole place is.

One of the best tasting bars in Taipei! It's also very peaceful inside. Everyone has respect for others and won't cause a ruckus even if they're drunk. This place is more of a sophisticated vibe, which I like.

Probably THE bar to go to if you are in Taipei. Barcode offers a very chill vibe and even more relaxed ambiance and serves as a great pregame to the clubs you'll be hitting up later tonight. With a pool table, tables (minimum charge required for them, I'm not sure how much it was), and ample seating along the bar you are sure to find a place to simply enjoy a drink with friends, or make new friends. Locals and foreigners alike gather here so you're sure to see/meet all sorts of people. The drinks themselves are about 200-400NT each but they make some pretty good drinks. The menu is in Chinese and English so most people shouldn't have much of a problem with figuring out what to drink. You can always ask one of the bartenders for suggestions as well, everyone is out to help you. Whatever you do, enjoy yourself, cause the night is still very young.

As a responsible alcoholic , I highly recommend all the tourists to come to barcode to drink and chill . This is the most classic bar in Taipei ! If you want to bump into celebrities , hot girls or handsome models , here is the right place to go ! The cost of the fancy cocktails here normally start from NT.350 . If you want to open bottle wine , it will probably cost you at least NT. 2000. The alcohol here is good and high quality . After drinking , there are bunches of famous nightclubs just downstairs of Barcode ! Surely you have a great time in this amazing lounge bar !!

This was the nicest bar we went to in Taiwan in terms of drinks, the crowd, cleanliness, music, everything. We had to pay to get a table, as all of them were "reserved," so it was a pretty sick night. It definitely wouldn't have been as good of an experience had we not secured a table.

My go to bar in all of Xinyi. Once you've been you'll get why. The music is chill, the aesthetic is awesome, and my favorite bartender in Taiwan works here. All their drinks are really good but if you're like me and you like something sweet but not to sweet I highly highly recommend the cocktail with Elderflower in it. SO GOOD. Also I come here to drink, but almost always end up getting a Beef Stew Noodle as well. This bowl of noodle is surprisingly delicious and has made it to my top 3 beef stew noodles!

Okay why didn't someone tell me that Yelp started in Taiwan?! My first inaugural Formosa review has to be for Barcode since it is my go-to spot every time I'm back in Taipei. Year after year, Barcode has kept up its awesome vibe and chic clientele. This is by far my favorite place for whisky, pool, and late night beef noodle.
