Bottom line: a solid choice all around, though not fancy. What you get: great location (Vesterbro neighborhood), *especially* for beer geeks. Two blocks from Olbutikken and Mikkeller Bar. There are also a bunch of fashion boutiques and thrift stores nearby. Mikkeller beers for sale from under the front desk. They hit you up with these when they see you rambling back at night. Oh. Yes. Clean and comfortable rooms. They're not that big, and neither are the beds or the bathrooms. But they work. Charming older construction with a modern interior. Reasonable room rates. Continental breakfast. It's fairly modest, but it gets the day started, and it's included in the room rate.

Average hotel in Copenhagen. Rooms are small but comfortable. Pretty centrally located. Near Tivoli and Mikkeller for those beer geeks. The breakfast is ok, not too many options other than bread or Danishes. The actual breakfast room is small and you practically have to fight to get a table during peak times. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Scandinavia on the cheap? Pretty much near impossible but I thought I would give it my best shot. This was a spontaneous trip to Copenhagen and was looking for a hotel that had a great location for the cheapest possible price. By booking the Savoy I was able to accomplish both. Location. 4 Stars. The hotel is within an easy and short walk from Central Station. You can also hit many of the cities hot touristy spots and will have quick access to many of the cities cool neighborhoods. Rooms. 2 1/2 Stars. For the price the room size is pretty decent, but not great. The double beds are small, but again when on the cheap who am I to complain? Amenities. 3 Stars. Breakfast is included and I was in heaven with the selection of freshly baked breads that were put out every morning. Free wifi is also included and it seemed that the connection was fairly decent and was able to hold a facetime connection with my wife back home with no problems. Service. 3 1/2 Stars. A little hit and miss here, as the desk staff for the most part was very friendly, but some were more helpful than others. Overall this property did the trick and was the perfect place for a couple of guys looking for a place to crash. However, if you are looking for luxury or a honeymoon spot I would probably look elsewhere and spend a few more Kroners.

The hotel served it's purpose. A place to sleep shower and eat. The hotel staff was really helpful and always friendly. There was also complimentary coffee tea and fruits in the lobby. The breakfast has nice fresh bread which was a big plus. One thing I did miss as an American was something hot like eggs bacon potatoes oatmeal or anything! However that was not the end of the world. The downside to hotel was the paper thin walls. Every time someone walked through the hallway it sounded like a police raid. Also when someone was close the door it would sound like it spammed and shook then walls to our room. If people also were to talk in the Hallway you could hear them crystal clear. It is possible that the people we shared out floor with were inconsiderate but it was annoying. Over all it is a good hotel in a nice location. However I do not think I would stay again because of the noise issues. Next time I would spend more money and stay somewhere else.

Stayed here during our family vacation to Denmark in May 2014. Negatives: 1.) Service was mediocre. Depending on who is at the desk, you get different service and travel tips. One person in particular was very bad, she could have cared less whether you were there or not and at times I felt like we were bothering her. Yes, some desk workers were good but unfortunately too many bad experiences left us not wanting to return. Also the housekeeper never came to our room. I am not exaggerating. Not once did a housekeeper come clean our room. The first time, no big deal. But by the third day the towels begin to pile up and I was just done with poor hotel experience. 2.) Horrible internet. Yes we are on vacation and I am not here to watch movies. However, having internet is a great tool in order to research your trips during your vacation and also keep in touch with friends/ family. The internet service was very bad and I was constantly asking every morning and night the staff to re-start the server. The internet is supposed to be included but most of the time the wi-fi was whack. 3.) Bad sleep. They put us in a room next to construction site. The workers were there at 7 AM pounding with heavy equipment. No chance of changing rooms and we were not happy. Positives: 1.) Location. Walking distance to Tivoli, close to the main train station, and close to the Hop On/Hop Off bus site. 2.) Breakfast buffet. The buffet they provide is very good and would easily cost you $10-15 US dollars per person. Bottom line: Cannot recommend this hotel at all and would have rather gone to a different hotel.

Hard to find a pretty good place to sleep in Copenhaguen for a cheap price. Savoy is not a cheap hotel meanwhile. Clearly, this place is overrated : - rooms would need a renewal, - bathrooms are unadapted, - breakfast is really simple. What's more the staff is absolutely rude and, except one person, never says hello, goodbye or so. A place to avoid...

Savoy was a decent option if you're looking to stay in the Vesterbro area. It's a good location as far as walking to everything. The staff is helpful and breakfast was a standard continental option.
