Gorgeous location, beautiful dining area.
My friend and I had lunch. I chose something without fries or chips, as when I asked if they were home made …. No frozen. Food was ok, nothing special and we were both really disappointed with the sticky toffee pudding which seemed to be a microwaved commercial pud.

Just back from 2 nights at the Charlton, one word excellent. From arrival to departure the stay superb. Very attentive helpful staff,nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious, well timed gaps between courses. Never that feeling of being rushed. The views from the restaurant over the river is a lovely bonus. The bedrooms,ours was rm11 . To be honest you nearly didn't get it back...fantastic.  A great birthday treat. Thankyou all, more than worth the visit..

Very nice pub/hotel with views of the river and Ludlow.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Although the Sunday dinner was okay, it wasn't the best I've ever had.
I thought it was expensive for what it was.
Dog friendly.

We called in mid afternoon for a drink and hopefully food. Unfortunately we were in between lunch and dinner sessions so did not get to eat. However, it was lovely sitting by the window overlooking the river. The lounge area was comfortable and the music very relaxing. There is a large car park at the back of the pub.

Didn't stay but had lunch. Been twice before and had great food but this time, we were very disappointed. Limited menu and chose fish and chips. Small fish with bright yellow batter. More batter than fish! Beautiful location however. Our friends did enjoy their food, it must be said.
