We stayed at the hotel visiting my family. It was a last minute booking and we absolutely LOVED it!
the room was so cute with nice decor and very spacious.  It had everything we needed and manager? was very pleasant to communicate over the text.

To be honest, lady I talked to on the phone was not very pleasant to talk to but do not let that hinder your stay at Westlake ( maybe she was having a bad day lol) We absolutely loved staying there and will stay again when we visit our family in the future!

Location : Nice little shops, lots of cool restaurants, easy to get to anywhere, felt very safe.

We loved Everything about this place. The deco was outstanding, the feel and vibe was calming and entertaining. The little things made the place great. The brick works on the second floor was something really special. enjoyed the patio time overlooking the city. We stayed in The Beach - wonderful concept - the wall paper was of a beach and the carpet is brown, so you get the feel of being on a beach - very innovative and different. This is what you want from a boutique hotel. The rooms was very clean, sheets and bedding and bed were super comfortable.
I have nothing bad to say and can't wait to revisit toronto and stay again.

My partner and I stayed for one night in the Noire Suite and truly enjoyed our stay!  The room was nicely decorated and impeccable. A true hidden gem in this part of the city. The customer service was great, as I received quick responses to my questions. And we appreciated the Welcome Letter in the room that had details to answer any questions such as heating and lighting in the room. Definitely would recommend this property!

Wonderful ambiance and super clean!! There was a small issue at check in, but they went above and beyond to deal with it, promptly and efficiently with understanding, and as woman travelling alone, this made a world of difference. Beds were one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in!! Can’t wait to visit again in the future!

My family and I spent New Year's Eve at this hotel in  "Can’t Even Suite" room,  and it was absolutely fantastic! The room felt brand new, with everything sparkling clean and fresh—like it had just been renovated. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We loved the Smart TV and the fact that we could even open the windows for fresh air. For the price, it was an incredible deal—so much better than any Airbnb we’ve stayed at in Toronto. I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Honestly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Stay far away. Dirty, smells, person who own it's never responds to you if you need anything. Also connected to a male strip club that plays really loud music. Smoke detector was beeping the whole stay, and tv didn't work, AC/heat didn't work (thermostat was out of batteries). Parking is awful. They don't have forks. But has spoons and steak knifes. Light bulbs burnt out. And stains all over the furniture. Bedding is itchy. And walls super thin, can hear everyone. Conditioner was out in the shower( which only stays hot for 3 minutes) black mold on the shower head in the bad and brother boujee room. Shampoo is the worst I think I have ever used. Hair was so greasy.. don't think it was shampoo. Bathroom outlet kept blowing out so you couldn't use the hairdryer. And contacted the guy about everything and no respond. I tried emailing for more towels.. nothing. Texting the number I was given if I had issues.. never answered. Would love a refund but he probably won't respond to it anyways. Just spend your money somewhere else. Positives- 1.) Cute little neighborhood. 2. Not a bad drive to the city

My partner and I stayed here end of September 2022 for 4 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the cost was fair for the experience. Pros: -Simple process of getting inside. I received the access code only an hour prior to check-in time. You need service to retrieve the email so be mindful if you are winging your trip off of Wi-Fi only like I did. -The pictures match the cool quirky hype of this place. We got the bad & boujee sweet and it fit our vibe perfectly. We loved the access to the deck too. -The bed was comfier the most places, however, I got really itchy all over my legs the very first morning which never happens. I was unsure if it was bedbugs or not but hard to tell. -We got in around 1-2 am both Fri & Sat night and there was a security guard sitting inside the lobby which made us feel good about security. The area around the hotel is safe in general. -Cutest neighborhood within walking distance we enjoyed exploring. Went to the park and got to see the prettiest view of the lake. -Cheapest spot compared to the city, about 1/2 the cost. It is really only about a 15-20 minute uber without traffic. During busy times it did take 30-45 minutes though. Cons: -So this place is basically an Airbnb, not an actual hotel with actual customer service/front desk/manager/etc. Go to Google and check out all the bad reviews, they all point to non-existent customer service. They use a 3rd party to answer calls, which do not have answers for anything and say they will call you back but they never do. -Walls are paper thin. Down the hall was an extremely loud group of girls yelling to talk for what felt like hours at one point. -Towels are a real challenge to get here. I read the reviews prior about asking for more towels. You think by now they would just leave more towels after all of the feedback from guests. As soon as we arrived, I called requesting more towels. Never got any more that day. The next day, called again and emailed. I did receive an email response that it would be handled, but no towels were delivered. Luckily, I saw the cleaning crew and asked them for towels, and grabbed as many as possible to last us the week. -Shower overall was really hard to figure out and get any warm water. -Location is far from the city which we were going to every day. Since we were visiting for pleasure and were short on time, we wanted to make the most of every second so we Ubered each time we went to the city which added up. Overall, we would totally stay here again.

If you're seeing this review. Please, don't waste your money in this pit. Where to even start... Booked a room for three people on March 26th 2023 for a suite with two queen beds for Sept 19-20 through Hotels.com. Got in today.. September 19th 2023. Received a one bed room. Not a suite, a very small room. I called the contact number provided and the woman who answered was very rude. Seemed extremely annoyed I was calling, told me management would be in touch I asked when and she said "when they get in touch" 20 minutes later the manager calls and basically says "that sucks" but I booked through a 3rd party and it's not there issue but then told me if I couldn't make the room work I was welcome to leave because I was getting money back anyway. Now I'm in a city I'm not familiar with, one bed, three grown adults The room was filthy. Stains on the blankets and the rug hadn't been cleaned or even vacuumed in ages. There was hair all over the bathroom and it smelled very strongly of smoke. There were cigarette burns all across the curtains. The fridge smelled and was sticky. Got a hold of Hotels.com. They tried to reach out to the manager of the hotel and they were hung up on multiple times. Needless to say we left. Please be careful before considering this hellhole.

Hotel was a place to stay, but the ceiling in the bathroom leaked. I texted the number that I was given to text if there were issue; no one responded. One night there wasn't much hot water in the shower (only enough for a three or four minute shower) and texted again; no one replied. Also there were only 2 bath towels and 1 face towel; would have expected at least 1 more face towel; and ideally a few more spare towels since there is no reception.

I LOVED my stay at The Westlake in late-June while I was in town for work. My work pal who lives super close by recommended this spot since they're newly opened and I'm so glad he did! I had such a lovely stay here. The WestLake is dubbed as the first Airbnb Hotel in Canada. I was unsure what that meant until I came in. Each suite is owned by a different person and styled with completely different themes - check out their website - they're all so cool! Communication leading up to my check in day was very clear. I got a text message from the hotel manager letting me know early morning of check in day with the passcode to the front door and my room. I asked if I could come a bit earlier and there was no problem with that accomodation. If you're expecting a hotel check in - don't. There is no front desk staff, you feel like you're walking into an apartment building. I stayed in the Bad & Boujee suite (how fitting?) and it was GORGEOUS. It was bigger than most of my friend's apartments in Vancouver and looked exactly like the pictures from the website. There was a common living room with a dining table, and numerous chairs and couches. There was even a full kitchen - stove, fridge, oven included. The bed was in a separate room with a sliding barn door, which is a personal interior design goal of mine for my future home. The bed was super cozy, and I love that there were plenty of pillows. I slept like a baby! The location is in the heart of Etobicoke, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffeeshops close by. There is also a Shoppers right across the street, so I was able to pick up some mini bottles of shampoo and conditioner for my short stay. I'd happily stay here again or recommend this spot to anybody staying in this area. Honestly, I'd even live in this suite if I could.

Trust the reviews The hotel and the concept of the hotel was cute. However, -4 stars for: 1. Place was next (attached) to an adult entertainment venue and a pot shop 2. You have to park in the back and walk in through an alleyway to the front of the hotel 3. LADIES, if you're travelling alone, be careful. Were some characters hanging out in the alleyway and in a doorway that's set back a bit 4.Poor customer service. No one helped with any of the issues we called about below. 5. We were only given 3 towels for a 3 night stay. 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel 6. There was a leak that I reported, but no one cared to respond to us 7. Hot water and heat wasn't working correctly in - degree weather outside 8. Heater in bathroom doesn't work 9. Why there were pots and pans but no range, I don't know. Also spoons and knives, but no forks DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This was the grossest place I've ever seen. We were supposed to stay in the "Bye Felicia" suite, this is the largest and "nicest" suite we were told. There was gum on the floor. The bed had hair all in it (some looked like pubic hair). There were suspicious white stains on the bed frame and walls. The area is very sketchy with people hanging out around the room throughout the night. You smell nothing but weed due to multiple dispensaries being nearby. I would highly recommend NOT staying here. We are not staying here for our trip beyond that first night due to the filthy conditions of this place. This was supposed to be a place for 8 and we only had 5 towels for 3 nights.

Take time to read all the 1 star reviews they all match and is accurate, make you think that all the others are fake? ...horrible service, we check-in around 4:00 and we only had 1 towel after multiple request to have more since we were 4 (same as our reservation) I had actually had to be rude to get some as it was 9:00... take a look at my pictures it self explanatory... it was the only time we sleep with our cloths on with socks because it was disgusting. We will NEVER return. This is NOT a boutique hotel.. so many other choices around... and this hotel is on top of a weed shop and a night club... so yes the rooms smells like weed and not quiet at night.

This hotel is billed as the first Airbnb Hotel in Canada. The story goes something like this...Airbnb began in 2008 when two designers who had space to share hosted three travellers looking for a place to stay. Fast forward to today, millions play the Host. Airbnb Host account creation is free! Guests are charged before arrival, the Host is paid automatically after check in, minus a 3% service fee. I was invited to a VIP opening of this first for Canada and all I can say is wow, incredible, and very nice! Each of the 9 suites is a design statement; 2 other suites are in an adjacent building. Let the photos speak for themselves. Once open for business, guests will not be disappointed!
