A traditional Mexican spot in the heart of Centro. The building itself is beautiful; I’m not sure if it’s a historical landmark, but it definitely has that charm. I ordered the breaded shrimp, which were absolutely delicious, and the guac and chips were solid as well.

The view from the window seat overlooking the Juliet balcony added to the experience, making it a great spot to bring a friend visiting CDMX for the first time. To top it off, we even stumbled upon a carnival parade, which was such a nice surprise!

Oh my god the food and breakfast here are incredible and so affordable! We were strolling around the streets and spontaneously went in for a breakfast. Best decision ever. We had delicious food with juice and coffee refill included. Great place to visit and eat in.

Food was excellent with some people in our table literally licking the plate clean, so it’s serious business.
A variety of options and it’s got anything for different palettes, just don’t expect anything too crazy.

Waitstaff are attentive and quick to refill drinks. For you non-Spanish speakers be prepared as they don’t speak much English.

Excellent venue, large open space. Tables are bolted to the ground so the largest group is 6-7 people.

We had enchiladas and fish tacos.  Both came with soup.  All tasty but not outstanding.  Very attentive service.  One non alcoholic drink.  Total bill was $30 CDN so great value.

Denna restaurang var belägen i samma block som vår Airbnb så det var mycket bekvämt. Vi åt här två gånger till frukost, det var så bra. Kompletterande apelsinjuice, du måste bara be om det. Tyvärr hade mitt senaste besök på restaurangen Don Toribio negativa erfarenheter. Väntetiden för en tabell var för mycket och servitrisen servitören var otroligt despot. En mycket trevlig upptagen atmosfär och med fönstren öppna och ljudet från gatan under det hela lagde till en utmärkt och mycket trevlig måltid

Vi åt här till lunch en dag. Maten var bra, enkel men elegant. Stämningen var mycket trevlig. Restaurangen ligger på en gård av en tre våningshus och omger de olika våningarna. Det verkar vara mestadels för affärsmän som arbetar i närheten i centrala Mexico City. Personalen var uppmärksam. Vi hade soppor (tomat och tortilla för var och en av oss) och en smörgås. Priset var måttligt. Vi kommer definitivt att äta här igen på vår nästa resa till Mexico City.

Jag älskade min erfarenhet på Don Toribio. Jag kände att jag betalade ett mycket bra pris för den måltid som jag presenterades med. Enkel, mexikansk och välsmakande plats med smak av granny. Denna plats gömmer sig borta från de livliga 16 de Septiembre och Bolivar gatorna för att ge plats till enkla tradicional varje dag mat. Vi besökte Mexico City i december 2017. Det var nära middagstid och vi var i distriktet Historica. Vi promenerade och granska menyer av restauranger i området när vi hittade denna underbara pärla - Don Toribio. Vi hittade atmosfären härlig, personalen professionell och hjälpsam. De kunde ta emot mina speciella död på en allvarlig skaldjursallergi och kölddelssjukdom. Vi hittade maten mycket flavorful. Restaurangen är prisvärd - mellanklasskostnad. Familjevänlig. Restaurangen är liten och på tredje våningen i byggnaden från Högsta domstolen. Lyckligtvis talade vår dotter spanska eftersom de flesta av personalen inte talade engelska. Det fanns en servitör som kunde tala engelska. Men även med språkbarriären var det en bra middagsupplevelse.

Vi älskade denna plats. En fantastisk plats i centrala Mexico stad där de flesta platser är turistiska. Det här är inte. Gården är underbar. Tjänsten mycket bra, snabb och vänlig. Ägaren / kocken var härlig. Vi åkte dit några gånger som frukost och lunch var riktigt bra värde och läckra.
