Absolute delight! Tried this place for breakfast. 5 dishes in total. Each one was extraordinary. The chilaquiles tatemados were out of this world. The sauce was perfectly seasoned with just the right level of spiciness and hotness. The enfrijoladas had a seasoning that reminded me of my grandmother's delicious cooking. Even though they may seem like simple dishes, they were packed with flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the cheese of the Ghughra sandwich was perfectly melted. The bisquet tricolor was a beautiful and tasty addition to our meal. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. The food is top-notch and the service was excellent. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Mari Gold was such a pleasant surprise and a wonderful experience. Although most people at the restaurant had reservations, I was a walk-in and only had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated at the far back of the restaurant, sharing a table with two others. My server recommended an African sparkling wine that was on the sweeter side, with rich tones—it was an absolute delight to have a glass.

I started with the sabudana bana, which were fried potato balls served with a jalapeño sauce. They were an explosion of flavors and a delightful surprise. For the main course, I chose the molote tikki, one of the most interesting and unique dishes I’ve ever tried. It featured plantain with black beans, a delicious red sauce, and chutney—a combination that was both unique and absolutely delicious.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, located in a neighborhood that feels like a hidden gem itself. My total bill came to $680 pesos. While the glass of sparkling wine was on the pricier side, it paired perfectly with the two dishes. The service was amazing, especially the person who welcomed me and made me feel right at home.

With its unique and delicious food, paired with exceptional service, Mari Gold has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City.

We had such a great and pleasant experience! The place is small but wonderfully cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Every dish we tried, as well as the wines, was excellent—you can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The fusion of flavors and cultures (Mexico and India) is both creative and remarkable.

My girlfriend and I especially loved the dosa and fried idli—the chutneys that came with them were absolutely amazing! Every bite was a delight.

We can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this gem of a spot!
