Galleria Marchetti was such a fantastic venue to work with! Every step along the way they helped make our wedding spectacular. Danielle was such an excellent person to work with and always did the extra step to ensure everything was going smoothly. She was consistently problem solving with me and offering her advice. Every worker at Galleria Marchetti was extremely kind, patient, hardworking, and respectful to us and to every guest. The venue is so unique and beautiful, everything about it was perfect and the way it is decorated already along with all the greenery and florals, allows the space to shine and be one of a kind. I highly recommend having your wedding or event at Galleria Marchetti!

I've been here twice. Many years ago for my Dads retirement party and recently for a wedding. Both visits were fantastic. I can's say enough good things about the food and the service, just really good old school Italian cooking and service as well. After the wedding service was completed we were ushered into the bar area for drinks and appetizers as the staff removed the wedding setup and brought in the dining setup. The heavy appetizers were plentiful and really good as was the Italian deli meats. I loved it, and I would have been happy to just make myself a sub with those cold cuts and sit down with a cold beer and chow down. Great venue with great service and food. 5 stars all day long!

Got married in 2022 & been salty about this place since. 1. We had to argue to keep the original price in our 2019 contract because they were about to inflate the prices for 2022. How money hungry can you be when we had no other choice but to postpone our wedding due to a global pandemic? We settled an agreement with the owner that we would take the smaller venue instead & limit our guest count if we didn't want to spend more money. I had to bite the bullet & agree to the changes. 2. When we signed the contract in 2019 we had Natalie as our wedding coordinator. We loved her energy & she was so attentive during the process, sending me all I needed to know prior to the event, but she ended up quitting mid 2021. I can't say the same nice things about her replacement, Danielle. She gave us attitude over every question we had, didn't send me updated/helpful info, & didn't reply to my emails until days if not WEEKS later where I would have to follow up. This was incredibly stressful leading up to the wedding where I was the one that had to ask her for the floor plans so that I can finalize my decor & table numbers. Since she didn't get back to my emails for weeks, it kept adding more delays & she had the audacity to tell me I was late on finalizing things. I made myself open to phone calls too which she never took. 3. The cherry on top of the stressful final days before the wedding was dropping off decor. To save $ we rented out the decor, but Danielle failed to send me any updated info, so I only had what Natalie gave me which said I could drop off decor a WEEK BEFORE the event if I needed to. I asked a week before if I could drop it off just 2 days before the wedding since I was checking into the hotel the day before & didn't want to make 2 trips. She told me no- I couldn't even drop it off a day before the event! She mentioned it's supposed to come in & out on the same day. I sent her the sheets that said otherwise & only THEN she told me I had the "outdated" info sheet. This "outdated" info sheet also mentioned that staff would help us w/ placing decor, which I found that was no longer the case (most likely laid them off) so I had to hire a day-of coordinator last minute to help me with my decor. So I'm spending over $20k for a small venue, food, drinks and NO HELP? I practically had to beg her to let me drop off the decor the day before, & she finally allowed me to leave it in the cocktail room while they were doing tours. She failed to mention a time so I had to ask again & she replied the morning of telling me I have till 3pm, which added more stress since we live 30-40 minutes away & I was under the impression I had all day since she didn't specify a time! I also didn't have enough room in my SUV for all the wedding decor & luggage for the hotel room. So we only managed to get half of the things dropped off before 3 & the venue was completely empty, making me believe this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. We also could have easily stored our decor in the bridal suite but Danielle said absolutely there was no storage on site. Since it was a Friday, traffic was bad & it took us an hour to get back to our house to get our luggage & the rest of the decor we couldn't fit in the first trip. By the end of it, we didn't arrive to the hotel until 8pm, which was exactly what I was worried about. I didn't eat since breakfast so I was hungry, stressed, crying, just wanting to relax the day before my wedding, & Galleria Marchetti made that impossible with their new rules they failed to mention to me. 4. During our tasting we had 2 friends w/ us (which they also noted Danielle had an attitude) & Danielle asked us again if we wanted the dance floor. I said no & even asked for her opinion which she said "the dancefloor can limit people on where to dance so I wouldn't add it." So me, my husband, & 2 friends agreed it wasn't necessary, which she wrote down. Come my wedding day- there's a dance floor. I brought this to her attention & she just said "well it was in the final contract I sent you" which was sent 2 days prior to the wedding. I overlooked it since after all the updated contract after contract due to the pandemic it clearly showed NO DANCEFLOOR on all the other contracts- So why now does she sneak it in?? My friends that were at the tasting even pointed it out during my wedding! I felt she was out to just stress me the entire time. 5. I tried saving a slice of our wedding cake by putting in on our table, but since we were all over the place, I found by the end of the night they just threw the rest of the cake out without asking!! $700 cake just gone. 6. They told me I had to take all the decor out by end of the night. I had to negotiate with them that I can arrive in the morning before any event starts; which they agreed. However, vendors aren't allowed to set up until 2pm anyway, so absolutely people should be able to get it the next day! Overall- highly wouldn't recommend.

We just got married in the Pergola at Galleria Marchetti and I feel like it is such a hidden gem for an affordable Chicago wedding! Danielle was absolutely amazing throughout our entire planning process. Galleria and Danielle made planning so easy with in-house catering and recommended vendors, but I still feel like we got to personalize the day exactly how we envisioned it. They were so open with pricing throughout the entire thing so we could budget accordingly and add on the extras that we wanted! I seriously feel like Galleria was a perfect one stop shop for our wedding, I didn't need to research a ton of different vendors because it was all already built in. It made wedding planning so much less stressful and I loved having Danielle there for her support and opinions throughout the entire planning process. Our day was absolutely perfect thanks to Galleria Marchetti and Danielle!

Vendors beware. There is no parking, there is no help from staff. Daniella and the rest of the bunch had 2 sayings, " I don't know, or it's not my responsibility. I have never in all my years setting weddings come across a venue with no direction, no professionalism, no sense of common courtesy.

Went there for lunch with friends today I ordered Italian beef. The bread look old and microwave. The beef had a funny, smell. It was totally disgusting. The waitress was slow and for the most part ignored us, even though there was hardly anybody on the patio. I will never go back there. Totally overrated lousy food overall totally disgusted.

I've been to a lot of weddings. The most beautiful wedding I can remember was here, my best friend's son. The venue is absolutely perfect, the staff handled a non-Christian service (Jewish) with élan and knowledgeable respect. Don't take my word for it, if you're looking for the perfect spot for a wedding, reception, elegant party, medium to big celebration, visit and you'll be sure to put them on your short list. Maybe the top of your short list. The stage handled a medium sized live and active band easily. The sound system was high quality without being too loud. The passing trains were only slightly annoying and actually quite humorous for the outdoor part. They must have rehearsed the train sound interruptions, but for real Chicagoans (not you suburban posers), this just makes the venue the more authentic. Also it means it's easy to get here on public transportation and I've always liked dressing semi-formal on the train. The service is high end perfect, the food and drink are good. Although the pricing is fair considering how beautiful the place is, and how sophisticated the staff are, it's still oh-my-gosh expensive. If I had a daughter getting married, I would encourage her to have a vacation-destination wedding after encouraging her to get an MBA or law degree, but I'm a sociology professor at a public two year college. If you're a father of the bride and money is no object, or if you're setting up a corporate party, you should not hesitate to check this place out first before the downtown hotels.

I just got married here and it was truly a perfect experience from start to finish. Alyssa worked so well with our wedding planner and everything came together seamlessly. We were on the Pergola side which was absolutely beautiful, especially since we were able to leave the roof open for the whole night. We were nervous about how the Pergola would feel with 140 guests, but it was just the right amount of space for the venue to feel appropriately filled. Everyone was able to dance and/or hang out away from the crowd if they wanted to. Our 7-piece band fit perfectly as well. The draping, florals, and decorations were exactly how we envisioned and discussed with Alyssa. It's amazing how much the same space can transform with different table settings, flowers, curtains, etc.. Our guests kept commenting on how delicious the food was (including the vegan eggplant Parmesan option which was impressive!). The wait-staff and bar-staff were extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The flaming donut bar as a late night snack option is a must. Overall, there is not a single thing I would have changed about our experience with Galleria Marchetti. Alyssa was great to work with and you really can't beat the beauty of this venue if you're interested in an indoor-outdoor option in the city!

Our wedding was the most wonderful day of my life - thanks to Galleria Marchetti. The staff was incredible, the service was awesome, and their food was phenomenal. We had multiple couples coming up to us during the wedding saying how beautiful the venue was and how awesome the food was! I might be biased - but it was the best wedding food I have had. They served the food on time and did not make guests wait around. It was a fabulous night. BRIDES - don't forget about the bridal room BEFORE you go into cocktail hour. They put in your own apps and champagne for you and your bridesmaids to have some time together before the night gets started. I'm so happy we chose Galleria!

I came to this venue for a wedding very spacious and has a nice modern flare. The staff were nice and it was very spacious. The bathrooms were clean and the greenery was enlightening. It was well lit and the bar tenders made the drinks very well. They had an outside lit fire area, two rooms, and an outside lounge area. Over I recommend this location. The complementary valet was a bonus.
