This is a dive, but with the best vibe. We had a great time stopping in for libations while the whole place just seemed really chill. I had been here in the past, when Jacqueline's was more busy later at night, and it was very fun. It's like a regular bar that embraces newbies. Probably cannot go wrong with this inviting bar.

Bartender wouldn't serve me another drink because he wanted to reuse my glass even though I was not quite finished. Is that normal? Bar was half empty so there should be plenty of glasses. All good. I won't be back.

We came here late on a Friday night after a few of the places were were patronizing on Halsted were closing. The bartender here at Jacqueline's was really personable, though the drinks he said were his specialty and swore were going to be the best we'd had, really weren't great. We played a few rounds of darts, though I think the board was malfunctioning at times when keeping score...And when throwing here, one must be mindful of people walking past to go into the restrooms and then watch for them as they emerge as it'd be easy to injure someone.

Stumbled into this dive bar (I don't go to dive bars very often), but this place is awesome. I'm not sure if the lady's name that was bartending but she was soooo friendly and upbeat! There's a juke box that you can connect to your phone to play your own music which is awesome. I did find the prices to be on the higher end. I think I got 4 drinks total, and with the tip it came out to around $75. A bit pricey for a divey type bar in my honest opinion, but we loved the vibes from the server enough to wanna come back. Great corner dive bar in East Lakeview!

Bartender was an absolute asshole. Ordered a martini and was explicit for NO VERMOUTH. This is what I got. He fucked me over on purpose because I'm not a regular. Been to Jacqueline's lots but am done. They hate outsiders dipping in off the street and only treat regulars well. Fuck this place.

So I was in town for a meeting and just walked into this cute little dive bar because I didn't have anything else to do . I had the best time talking with the bartender and the regulars. The red wine was French and surprisingly delicious for such a divey place. The mezcal margarita was delicious!! I felt safe and had fun being there alone . They do not mess around with Covid and need to see a vaccination card to let you hang out there.

Pride parade Sunday - was talked to in a demeaning manner and yelled at. Was then followed by the bartender down the street for 2 blocks after telling them they were homophobic. Then someone at the bar threatened a gun on us. When i told a parade police officer he told me to call 911.

Won't be back, EVER. Came in from the airport traveling from California on a 8 hour flight, staying at the hotel next door. Had 1 $15 drink and tipped the bartender a $20. I asked for a second LIT cuz I gotta go to bed and he said no. You can have a shot. He called last call, I left. then he hung out with his freind afterwards listening to music. He didn't get kicked out. No last call for him. I'm asain from California, so I was like is this reverse racism? I don't know. I'm not from Chicago. Either way, not very freindly. Update: I gave this place 1 star and Yelp gave it 3 star after I checked. My vote counts. 1 star. The drink was good, but the service sucked.

Came here on a Friday night for a friend's birthday. She's a regular and they let her have a little table for food and such. Quick service, reasonable prices for the area. Great dive bar and I'll be back!
