I was looking online for good deals on wine tasting and came across this place. I'm so glad I went to check it out! The ambiance is super nice, big windows and plants and lots of wood decor. It has a very local, casual vibe, and many of the people there seem to be regulars. I went for the wine tasting, which they offer every Thursday from 5-7pm. The tasting costs only $5, but it is free with any purchase. We bought the red wine cheese set for around $13, so we got our wine for free. They also kindly cut and arranged the cheese for us, and it was perfect for two people. We got to try four wines: Italo Cescon Pinot Grigio, Schild Estate GMS, Viva Valentina Sangiovese, and Chateau Kefraya Les Breteches. The GMS and sangiovese were definitely my favorite. It was a really great experience! Everyone was really friendly, the price was incredible, and the wine was high quality. I definitely hope to be back here.

I came in to this place on a Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised by the three-piece, live jazz band playing ...great background music! This place is super cute and offers something for everyone. From self-service wine tastings (think wine on tap that remains fresh via magic?), to beers chilled in a cooler, to a few beers on tap, a few spirits...did I mention fancy soda's too?!?! Don't miss the bathroom...the "Sunday in the Park" hand-painted mural allegedly has 9 subtle changes that have been modified to reflect the area/owner. And speaking of the owner, Liz, she popped in and within minutes seemed to be making an effort to talk to her patrons - really nice person. I had a grilled goat cheese w/fig sandwich that was awesome! Staff was friendly too. I'll be coming back once I decide which event I want to attend: wine tasting Thursdays, Friday evening bands, Sunday Jazz brunch, or Movie nights.

A few friends and I stopped in to talk to the owner about having a show there... and stayed for lunch. The owner is a dynamite lady with great ideas and execution. She just opened a couple of months ago and I am hoping the place catches on. There is so much to see/do/taste: First lunch - I had a glass of wine and a spicy italian sandwich freshly made on fresh bread from Hewn. It was so tasty and spicy... and did I say FRESH?!?! I wrapped up half of it to bring home to share with hubby. It was just as good the next day. Hubby raved as much as I did. My wine was an Oregon Pinot Nior. It held up to the spicy sandwich. Doesn't get any better! There are things to buy - I bout a bottle of gin made in Kansas. I haven't opened it yet, but the bottle was just so cool. There are other gourmet food items to buy. There are purses, jewelry, and more in the back room. All very unusual and worth a look. Games to play - The back room has a great fireplace and a TV (for movies) and GAMES! Bring your friends, get some wine and snacks, and spend a nice afternoon here! Events - The owner says she does events, such as "book club", and movie night. Sounds fun! Art on the walls - Well, I'm hoping to show here... but the curator seems fantastic. It would be an honor. I hear she teaches at the Art Institute. I'm not surprised. She did a great job on the current show we saw! So as the weather gets a bit colder, this seems like a great place to be!

Amazing place for food wine coffee or to have some food! great lounge and local artists on the walls is pretty awesome. Staff is super friendly , love this place!

The wife and I were at a bar called The Lighthouse Tavern down the street and while we were there we were talking to a gentleman who knew the owners of Picnic who acts as a "sandwich liaison" bringing the leftover grab-and-go sandwiches to the bar patrons when Picnic closes for a small fee. We brought two spicy Italians home to eat once we got back to our hotel room and they were INCREDIBLE! And we only had a couple drinks so it wasn't cloudy judgment either. The spicy relish is something I had never had before and it made the sandwich. I can't think of a better sandwich I've had in my life. I can't attest to anything else about the store as far as wine selection or cleanliness but for the sandwich alone I can not recommend it enough

I love that this beautiful place opened where a boring computer troubleshooting office once was! The atmosphere is really nice (though the chairs could potentially be comfier) and I would make it a go-to if it had slightly more substantive food offerings for vegetarians and those who aren't into going out just to consume alcohol. I've had two dishes here--one from brunch (grilled cheese with soup) and one cup of soup---and the food was excellent. However, the soup is served in a tiny bowl the size more or less of a small Chinese rice bowl--it would cost so little to give customers paying over $7 a few more spoonfuls for their money. (The sandwich with soup combo came to $13 and change, substantially more than you would pay in a cafe for the same.) As such, it feels dear and like I'm basically paying for a little taste of something delicious in a cute environment rather than actually satisfying hunger. I really want this place to survive, will bring friends there to help out, and am hoping they'll consider giving more vegetarian options and slightly more generous portions. The thought that went into the paintings on the wall, the items for sale, and the games in the back room make it a business I'll root for.
