Previously gave one star review for half of my $800 catering order being forgotten. Following up with another 1 star review for how the situation was handled. Was called and left 2 messages with apologies and offered no solution. 3rd call was to offer me a gift card to Bueno to buy me dinner. I declined as I absolutely have no interest in being a customer to Buona. I told them they could make it right by being Offered a partial reimbursement , i.e. my tip. I was told they would have to talk to their manager as it would be unusual to do any reimbursement since the forgotten food was eventually delivered. They said they would call back with an answer. I let them know there was no need to call back if the manager declined a partial reimbursement. It has been 5 days, making it very clear that my request was declined. Not to reimburse a customer's tip that was required to be paid online in advance is absolutely mind boggling. A tip is voluntary and based on service. A tip is in addition to the fee of food and services. I was prepared not to use Buona again, but now will be sure to share my story with anyone that mentions the establishment. An 18% tip on an order that cost over $800 is heinous to take and refuse to return after horrible service. I am just so baffled by this entire exchange.

Got a rainbow cone tonight (which r really awesome usually) but the cone didn't taste right and didn't realize it till almost done that the waffle cone was stale and tasteless. When I went in to tell the they just said 'ok thank you.' Won't come back to this location For rainbow again.

Super friendly staff! Two people came out to check on me and to see if I was enjoying my meal. And as soon as I stood up, the manager came over to clear my plate! The interior is very bright, clean and spacious. Looks newly renovated, very nicely done. And there is an Original Rainbow Cone ice cream shop inside this Buona, that's looks newer, too, although it opens daily at 4 pm and I was there too early. Free parking. Drive-through as well. Great meal. Loved the fries and the ice cold lemonade. I will definitely return, at a time when I can also get a rainbow cone!! So excited for that!!

The food is always very good and fresh. I honestly order often, unfortunately this is the second time that happens to me and I was very mad and disappointed I ordered a delivery it took a little longer but I was ok with that I was keeping track of my order finally I see that in the tracking side my food was delivered, NO ONE CONTACTED ME to let me Know my order was here, instead it was left outside by the back door like 2 or 3 feet away from the rat trap Unacceptable Disgusting Needles to say I didn't eat the food I called buonabeef to complaint and I was told they don't have control of people picking up the food to be delivered and I understand that but they should let drivers know not to leave food outside it has to be handed to the customer both times was GRUBHUB DRIVERS that left my food outside. I hope one of the Buonavolento Bros read this and bring it up to GRUBHUB

The food here is solid Chicago style beef sandwich. The minestrone soup is excellent! Great veggie flavor with beans and pasta! This is counter service which is typically fast. Friendly staff, no complaints here. The restaurant air conditioning was out or turned in the wrong direction because it was stifling hot in the place. Once I ate the soup, had to bag up rest of food to-go. Must have been an off day in that aspect.

I'm a regular customer here. My to-go order is always the grilled chicken salad. Some days, they hook it up with the amount of salad & chicken... other days they don't. That's not the moral of this story. I would like to shout out the employee Kali H, who usually takes the orders and charges at the window. Every time I get my order taken from Kali, I can't help but notice that he's very professional and attentive. I've had other employees who annoyingly ask me to repeat my order 2-3 times. However, Kali has never had any issues taking my orders in the past and present. Even during rush hour, which is typically when take my lunch break (not by choice), I notice that the overwhelming amount of customers inside the restaurant & at the drive-thru doesn't faze Kali. His customer service skills shine. True leadership qualities. To management at this Oak Park buona location: you've got a great employee working with you. To Kali, your hard work is noticed and appreciated, from the perspective of a regular customer like myself. Thank you!
