This is my second visit to Knuckleheads for a concert. The last time I went it was probably six or seven years ago before I even lived in Kansas City. Recently, I went to the Knuckleheads Garage to see the Texas Headhunters, which is a newer band featuring my favorite guitar player and singer Ian Moore. The experience was pretty great from start to finish. I was able to buy a ticket online and save it to my Apple wallet. It was super easy to get in. Parking was on-site and plentiful. They had a great opening act that was a local band from Kansas City. I liked that the drinks were affordable and super cold. I got a tall Quirk for $8. Beers were similarly priced. Later in the evening, I got hungry and scored a hotdog for six dollars. The whole place is cash only. Be advised you will not tap to pay. They have an ATM on site if you need cash. The concert was fantastic! The band was amazing and I was very pleased with the experience. There's a large seating area with tables and chairs in the middle of the venue and on the north side there are rows of old airline or bus seats with cupholders that are amazing. You are even welcome to go down into the pit without an extra special kind of ticket The sound was great and not too loud, it was very clear and clean, the lights were well done and they even had robotic video cameras with someone mixing the video on screen and out in the bar area so you didn't have to miss what was happening. The restrooms were clean and nice. The whole thing was a great experience. I will most certainly be returning to Knuckleheads for live music!!

I went with friends to a Saturday afternoon jam session. It was a great experience. Live music played by musicians for musicians. It resembled a karaoke for musicians to my unschooled ears.

This KC gem is tucked away off Front Street so use Maps to guide you. Another landmark you might recognize is J. Rodger & Co. on the other side of the railroad tracks. Knuckleheads offer a wide variety of music- no joke so check their website often. They have 4 different stages and theres great music at different times throughout the day and night at one of these outdoor stages: the courtyard with an upper 'open sky' level, the Garage stage, Saloon Stage and intimate Gospel Lounge seating up to 75 people. This particular night Gang of Four an English post-punk, political and funk rock band from the late 70s early 1980s graced the outdoor stage for their "Long Goodbye" tour and would be their last. They rocked it! And the crowd didn't disappoint in their fashion! Also Gail formerly of L7 and Belly was playing bass and killed it! !!! Cash only !!!

i parked in the designated parking lot that says "knuckleheads parking" and ended up being blocked in by other cars. i, along with half a dozen of other drivers, were blocked in by other drivers. knuckleheads' security said the parking lot with knuckleheads name on it and where we're asked to park, is a parking lot is not managed by knuckleheads and they're unsure who manages the lot. knuckleheads was unwilling to make an announcement or guarantee to not have it towed if i waited to get it in the morning. there was no answer for why do they tell customers to park in a lot they have no authority over even with their name on it. i had to ride share home to relieve the babysitter and ride share back to get vehicle with hopes of not being towed. poor management, no accountability, and the drinks are mid.

Favorite dive bar in KC. So many different stages & none of them have a bad seat. Highly recommend going to the open jam sessions to see some extremely talented local artists playing together. Bring cash for the bars!

Food was great. Atmosphere was great! If you like to be up and close to the action, this is the venue for you. Staff were very nice, with one exception. I would suggest bringing a stadium seat or cushion to sit on if you are on the bleachers.
