My 2nd time here and although the concept, charities, band and drinks change a little each month they do this block party, it's still a fun time and all for a good cause if you support revitalizing the City. You can usually get lucky on nearby street parking if you come early enough. Otherwise, ride a bike here or park in the lot across from Sparrow. It is $3 before 6pm, $5 after 6pm. The block party starts slowly, but usually picks up and gets busy when the sun goes out. They advertise it to start at 5pm, but it really doesn't start til about 6pm. For food prior to getting your drink on, you can either grab tacos from Taco's-A-Go-Go, select bar food at Natachee's during their hh until 6pm or bar bites at Sparrow during their hh until 8pm. This time, Saint Arnold had the limited edition White Noise Wit Beer, which is only served at FPSF, but they made a ton extra this year for the festival so they are serving it at different follow-up area events until it runs out. They also served their summer pilsner. I much preferred the White noise. We sampled a few of the Honest Tea's from their booth and of course most of the Deep Eddy vodka cocktails, in addition to just straight vodka over ice. Not a bad vodka, especially for the price. They had a DJ playing some tunes and even a clown performing, it was quite interesting. If you haven't been to this event yet, you should definitely go next month!
