Bimbap is one of the corporate food options in Amazon's new Day 1 building. It is located on Level 3 and requires Amazon badge access to reach. It is the first eatery you see as you ascend the staircase to this floor. As the name of this eatery suggests, bibimbap bowls are offered here along with several types of sushi rolls. Though some of the bibimbap bowls aren't necessarily Korean. I recall seeing a coconut offering, which seems to be more Southeast Asian. Recently tried a couple of the sushi rolls here. They are pre-made and found in a display refrigerated case. Once you order them, the staff slices the rolls into pieces and packages it up. I decided to order the kimchi roll ($3) and spicy tuna roll ($4). Once ready, I picked up the sushi to notice that they didn't put a cover on the container. Don't fret though as there are takeout covers available at the utensils counter nearby. The taste of the sushi was okay. There was a definite pickle smell to it. The kimchi roll was fine, but I liked the spicy tuna roll much better. It was actually spicy, but not overly so. If I came here again, I would get two of the spicy tuna instead. Overall, I thought that this is a decent option on the Amazon campus as the prices are reasonable and the food is okay. There aren't many sushi places in the area, so this will have to do unless you want to venture into downtown Seattle or Belltown.

Solid choice for a cafeteria lunch! I haven't tried any of the seafood options but tend toward the bibimbap bowls -- beef and white rice with veggies! The seaweed, kimchi, mushrooms, and other vegetables taste fresh and the meat is nice and hot (at least when I go at opening time)! The beef portion is pretty reasonable, and I generally feel full and satisfied after eating here! I actually find it quite ironic how large the meat portion size is given that a stone pot bibimbap order in your ordinary Korean restaurant probably has less lol (though you don't get the char of the rice, etc...I digress). My only complaint is that the rice is a bit on the cheap quality (not the medium grain they typically serve at a Korean restaurant) and the gochujang sauce is a bit too acidic, but hey, for under $10 with tax, can't be beat! TL;DR -- cheap, fresh, and pretty filling!

I ordered a poke bowl, and the fish was fresh, the toppings were plentiful, and the rice was nice and warm. Overall very pleased, and would definitely come back here! For the Day 1 locations I've been to so far this is my favorite, but I'm also a hardcore lover of raw fish, and so this is probably no surprise to anyone. Other than poke bowls this place also serves sushi and bibimbap, which are also true loves of mine, and so I will be coming back in the future to try out the other options! The price is reasonable, if not slightly expensive given how it's in a corporate building and you'd think Amazon would compensate us employees, but for $11 I had plenty of food, and enough to last me for a meal and a half with the poke bowl that I ordered. I got the spicy tuna and shoyu salmon as my fish options, with half of each, and at first was a little confused because the salmon looked like tomatoes, but both of the fish were deliciously chewy and seasoned, making for a very happy me.

This review is for Bimbap in Amazon Day 1 building. The lady at the counter is probably the meanest person in the restaurant industry in Seattle. She is rude and condescending and behaves as if she's doing a favor by taking to customers. No wonder no one eats at that location. Restaurant owners - please take note!! You are losing tons of business due to a disgruntled employee.
