During my visit to Kloof Street House, I opted for two standout dishes that left me thoroughly impressed.

To start, I had the baked Camembert, which was absolutely divine. The cheese was perfectly warm and gooey, with a delicate crust that added a satisfying crunch. It was served with a sweet and tangy fig jam, which complemented the richness of the cheese beautifully. The addition of toasted baguette slices provided the perfect base for each bite, making it a deliciously indulgent start to the meal.

For the main course, I went for the steak special, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking—medium-rare, with a beautifully seared crust that locked in all the juices. It was tender, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The steak was paired with perfectly seasoned sides, including crispy fries and a vibrant green salad, making for a well-rounded and delicious dish. The quality of the meat was top-notch, and the balance of flavors in the entire plate was fantastic.

I didn’t opt for dessert, but with the excellent food I’d already had, I didn’t feel like I needed it. Kloof Street House offers a menu that’s both varied and creative, and the dishes I tried really showcased the kitchen’s skill in bringing out bold, rich flavors.

The food is divine, and the serving staff is attentive and sweet.

My friend and I decided to book for the bottomless mimosa brunch Sunday past. It was like stepping into mini Bali when you enter the outside area...the inside decor is beautiful too!

I haven't been to Kloof Street House since before Covid, and  it looks very different and in a good way.

Our waitress was incredibly efficient and so very friendly, and our drink and food orders arrived in good time. They used such fresh and tasty ingredients, and we will definitely be returning.

It was such a great experience EXCEPT for the owner/manager shouting at her staff and making them move plants around. Even belittling two guys when they didn't put the plant down properly and some soil spilled... Everything besides her left me feeling happy 😊

Great ambiance! They have a beautiful decor and play chill music, creating a welcoming place. The food was good, but not remarkable. The service was very poor, mixing up plates, and taking a huge time even to bring drinks, dragging our experience down. I’m not sure I’d come back.
