The food at this place was very disappointing for the price they are charging. I had the November menu, and 3 of courses were terrible. The Wagyu beef dish had no taste and the mushroom accompaniment tasted like dirt. The truffle soba noodles were also grainy and had a bad texture (no taste), and the hairy crab spring roll was not tasty (just fried). They all “looked good” for presentation, but it didn’t taste good, and we felt completely ripped off afterwards. The chef was also stoic and didn’t explain the dishes. Service from the staff was good though.

In addition to the poor food main dishes, their portions were small and served cheap imitations of “home-cooked” dishes to pass off as something fancier. The dish was Ikura and boiled salmon rice, which anyone can get ant a casual Japanese restaurant and it still tasted bland. Overall, I thought it was a very underwhelming experience (and terrible for the price), and this is coming from someone who frequents omakases around the world.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and had the best Japanese food in my opinion. Opened a bottle of sake, too bad the chef can't drink too much lol

Each dish was a work of art. They were all carefully prepared, and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and they undoubtedly brought the current season to the table. The menu was full of creativity takes on traditional dishes. Chefs and staffs were very friendly as well. It was an excellent dining experience. Would love to go back again soon!

Very delicious food that was prepared well. Of course the price is extremely high. Whether it's worth it is not something that can easily be answered. Because part of it is the experience which can't easily be attributed a monetary value.

The service was attentive. I didn't get any negative energy from the chef or his assistants.

We were enjoying so much the appetizer due to the fantastic quality of the products and the very precise and original way of its preparation up until we realised that it was not the appetiser but the full meal!
We have been extremely disappointed with the fact that sushi was just 1 peace of sushi per person , sashimi just 1 sashimi.
I could avoid the starvation on my way back home only because of the last rice dish where I could ask for supplementary portion (1 portion is literally - 1 spoon). So I had to ask for 4! Just to underline the quality of the service I understood that I could have supplementary portion only because they suggested this to a neighbouring couple but not for us. So I had to ask myself.
Sake - the advice on our taste of sake was very good proposal and a nice discovery for us.
But the most disappointing part was the Dessert - you won't believe but it was actually 90% of  ICE scratched by a special beautiful old machine and some pieces of popping chocopic inside with a bit of mango sauce on top of this ICE.
Overall for this price - which is probably the most expensive Japanese restaurant in HK I won't recommend it to anyone but I certainly will remember this experience myself.
We made a lot of nice and expensive restaurants all over the World and this one is just a joke!
