Made a dinner reservation for the pre-fixed menu of the day. It was a small counter restaurant with four chefs working that night with no dedicated wait staffs. They were all polite and friendly, it was enjoyable to watch them prepare and cook the food. All the dishes were delicious, some highlights includes the fresh bocconcini sourced from Chiba prefecture paired with prosciutto and fig; the fried barracuda; and the pasta dishes. The chef is very particular in sourcing the tomato from one specific farm only for the spaghetti. For the gnocchi, the potato is fermented, and a higher ratio of potato to flour is used to bring out more of the natural sweetness of the potato. For mains, I had the Kurobuta pork loin which was tender and meaty with a nice depth of flavor infused with the charcoal aroma. Finally the espresso cheesecake had a nice strong coffee flavor; very tasty. Overall a satisfying meal with fresh quality ingredients which justifies the price.

The owner and team stand behind their stellar 5 star reputation.   The roots are born from the owner’s training and F&B experience in Southern Italy.  The flavours and details make them shine.  What a gem of a restaurant and wine bar!

We had the most incredible evening - the team are exceptional, food a delicious melting pot of Japanese/Italian (who would have thought it would be such a match!) and we can't wait to come back again.
