This place is a highly recommended place to visit when you're in Macau. It's seriously underrated. We were ushered by the friendly female staff to the table. The restaurant gives homely vibes. The female staff who served us is approachable, warm and asked whether the food is enough and whether the food is nice. We ordered (1) Seafood Rice, (2) Codfish Rice and (3) Kale Soup. All the meals are to our liking. We ate the dishes hot and fresh. I liked the fact that these dishes were flavourful enough without being too salty.

I’m not sure is it the traditional flavor.
The tripe was tender but a bit salty. The toast on side was a bit sad tho.
The octopus rice flavor was quite nice and rich, but the rice texture seems a bit too soft, almost like congee. I was expecting the rice more like risotto.

FOOD
Bread was dry and hard, Beef tripe had a very intense smell, i guess it wasnt cleaned properly, the texture was ok though, very tender, but a bit too peppery in my opinion.Codfish á Brás was bad, they use packed fried straw potatoes, was dry not enough egg, a little codfish and way too much potatoes and bit too salty.

SERVICE
3 staffs, 2 in the kitchen and one server, they were all very nice and attentive.

ATMOSPHERE
Feels like a small restaurant in Portugal, with the TV showing Portuguese News, decoration is simple. Very cozy!

OVERALL
Is a Michelin awarded restaurant with Bib Gourmand and Food was the main issue, i think the dishes are not cooked the right way!
Makes me wonder about what are the Michelin guide standards when giving out this awards!

Small but cosy restaurant, the waitress is very polite and helpful, she offered us stools after meal, when we waited for taxi outside of the restaurant.

The food is delicious. Flavourful and tasty. Clams are super fresh, can taste the sea mixed with butter and lemon. The pork stew is fantastic, especially for a rainy day, warm and soupy, smells nice and not salty. The fish cake is also an interesting dish!

Enjoyed our meal there, and the place is recommended!

Spectacular place, an absolute hidden gem. The service was quick and you could tell care was put into the cooking. We had the octopus salad and the arroz de bacalhau. Both were superb! Be sure to get the cream and biscuit dessert with a glass of port to finish.
