The experience was perfectly executed and was exactly what I expected from reading and viewing the SDC website in advance (which it appears not all reviewers took the time to do - and we all experience the world differently …clearly and thankfully). The space is gorgeous, welcoming and relaxing. The team are attentive, warm, knowledgeable, conversational, fun and funny. The Chef is extremely talented, artistic, charming and witty. The food was beautiful and delicious and the wine pairing spot-on. A wonderful non-touristy way to spend a delightful and memorable evening in BKK. Thank you, Chef and Team!

The dining concept is to taste the dish and figure out the ingredients -- supposed to be a fun food adventure -- unfortunately, the seating arrangement negatively impact our experience. The restaurant’s counter-style layout isn’t ideal for conversing with our friends. The seats are spaced far apart with a small box between us (for stepping up onto the seats). We ended up awkwardly leaning toward each other and shouting over the middle person, which made it hard to enjoy discussing the ingredients together.

The food itself is impressive in concept, but unfortunately only 3-4 dishes (out of 14) that I’d rate 5 stars for flavor. The use of local, not well-known region-specific ingredients is very clever, and the chef’s creativity deserves praise. However, the overall flavor and experience didn’t fully meet expectations, especially at 7,000++ baht per person (excluding alcohol).

As a fine-dining enthusiast, I appreciate experimental cuisine, but last night, only a few dishes truly stood out flavor-wise. I was disappointed by the some of the dishes, the uncomfortable seating and the price which felt too high for what was offered.

Very well curated menu and experience. Unfortunately for the high price, I was a little disappointed with some of the dishes; which were all very creative but only 3-4 of them have 5 star flavour. Service was very attentive and restaurant well decorated.

Wine pairs very much suited each dish but also very small in servings and had make it last over a number of dishes.

Each dish has a clever twist and name but I generally prefer the chef/server to explain the dish and details before tasting; instead you are given a list of the dishes and ingredients at the end of the menu, which can be confusing to draw back to each dish after having 13-14 plates.

Probably the best meal I have had in Thailand. I had a free night in Bangkok and just wanted somewhere nearby my hotel. Made the reservation after seeing its google rating and that was the best decision I have made during the trip lol.

I was initially a bit worried, as the entrance and waiting area seems a bit "gimmicky", and I was the only person in the restaurant for the entire night, but I was totally wrong. The food is so flavorful and nicely presented. Great ingredients and skillful cooking. You can feel chef Sareen's passion for food and wanting to present some of local/asian ingredients in a different light (maybe more palatable for people outside the culture). I really enjoyed every single dish. Plus the great pairing (especially if you are a fan of organic/biodynamic/nature wine). Some of the flavors or ingredients might be a bit too "daring" or strong for some people, but I loved it.

I think they should get their star sooner or later. While I hope it gets recognized, the selfish side of me is also hoping it didn't get too popular so that I can always get a reservation hahaha. This is a place I will definitely come back again and again every time when I am in Bangkok. A place definitely should not be missed!

Visited for​ their tasting menu, very​ interesting​ Thai dishes (with a​ twist)​ are​ offered here​ and​ all​ of​ the​m are​ amazing.​ The​ dishes​ were surprising and​ delicate flavors.​ I​ am​ impressed with​ a​ journey of​ this​ dining and​ recieved the​ experience​ with​ a​ Thai​ culinary art.
