Surprisingly it’s a Michelin Guide restaurant. Food tasted great and delicious.

For us Malaysians, it tasted like home, definitely worth to stop by and have a hearty breakfast.

P.S. It was so good we had to come back the morning before we left Thailand. Ordered the Goat Curry and Chicken Mataba this time, both were great as well.

I recently visited Roti Chaofa in Phuket. For over 35 years, the locals have flocked to Roti Chaofa for Thai-Muslim breakfasts, curries and Thai-style chicken biryani. The crisp, golden-brown rotis with a fluffy inner, are nicely salted and enjoyed with sweets or savouries. The tangy, juicy Beef Massaman curry is delightful.

I ordered the Thai Style Fried Chicken Biryani and it wasn’t what i expected…The rice served was aromatic but it seemed to me that either the rice was undercooked or they were purposely used glutinous rice grains and undercooked it. Taste wise for the rice it met our expectations, that it was light on the spices and the rice had a touch of sweetness to it. We ordered the Massaman Beef Curry to eat with the rice that too, although it was delicious it was also sweet. The fried chicken that came with our Biryani was good, it was juicy and tender, fried on the spot when you order.

We also got the Egg Roti, the Egg Roti was also interesting, they cooked the egg separately outside and tear them up into smaller pieces then put it into the roti and let cook. Therefore the results were that the outside was crispy and the inside was fluffy and it gave a very satisfying bite.

When i was there, there were many people yet service was quick and efficient, staff were also friendly and could speak Malay too.

Total spent was only 250 Thai Baht which i felt was a really good price.

Great place for roti and curry.
The restaurant is spacious, the staff is friendly and try their best to communicate in English.
I wish they would open all day because 1:30pm is too early for me! 😁

If you like the crispy roti this is probably the one for you. The roti is crispy. Personally I prefer the thicker and less crispy type. The curry is nice but too spicy for me.

Amazing roti in Phuket, right on Chaofa road.

I've been here many times and it's always so good, they have several currys like chicken curry, chicken massaman, beef massaman, goat curry. They also have several other dishes like biryani, fried chicken, soups etc.

Everything we tried here was just great, super tasty, even their thai tea with ice.

Prices are very affordable and the place is huge, always packed with locals eating breakfast.

Roti is crispy and you have to ask for extra fried egg, it's the ultimate combination for the curry!

Sometimes you have to wait when it's full but usually it's less than 5 minutes, totally recommended
