Choosing a beach in Saint-Tropez seems easy but it’s harder than it looks. Do you go for great food but poor location, great atmosphere & music but no access to the beach... well one location has managed to take all the right ingredients into one fantastic experience. At one of the best location on the Pampelonne beach (this used to be the prized ownership of the beach association president), comes La Reserve à la plage. And everything is close to perfection.
Let’s start with the food. The zucchini flowers are perfectly balanced with the fresh ricotta and fresh mint mix, the squid is locally sourced and full of taste, the Peruvian style guacamole is an explosion of flavours, the lobster rolls have the perfect balance and the delicate sauce allows the lobster to retain all its taste and unique flavours, the truffle fries have actual real truffle not oil, the octopus is just out of this world, the lobster linguine comes with a full freshly caught lobster prepared at your table, and the chocolate mousse is never enough and served chilled.
The beach is carefully designed by Philip Stark and you will feel the difference. Everything is high quality and the sun beds are just the most comfortable I’ve seen so far.
The atmosphere is amazing with great music all day long. The service is the true star of the show with an amazing staff from the valet parking which has your car ready and aircon when you leave, to the warm welcoming hostess and the great beach & restaurant staff.
For me, the beat beach in Saint-Tropez by far, five stars all the way

We were here 2 days ago for drinks and had a wonderful time. Today we went back and asked to have a drink again, but the security guy ran straight into us and was very unfriendly & asked what we want. We asked for drinks like 2 days ago and he said it‘s not possible to have drinks. We said why because 2 days ago it was possible. He said thats not true and told us to leave immediately. Never experienced such a rude person. We regret to have spent quite some money two days ago - if we knew that earlier…
