Perfect location for exploring the centre and close to all the major bus pick ups. The hotel is perfect walk into the centre. Rooms are spacious and very comfy beds. Shower is hot and powerful with all the essentials you need. Breakfast had a great variety with both hot and cold selections. Highly recommended would book again.

Good hotel in a great location on the main shopping street with plenty of eateries close by. Excellent breakfast. 4 mins walk to bus stop 9 for easy access to airport and tours. Our family room was a decent size and the only slight negative was that the room was very dark. They also left a lovely surprise and note in our room for my birthday which was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again if returning to Reykjavik.

Amazing hotel, really lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff.
My first time being abroad and I chose Iceland.
Alda Hotel have made us feel very welcome as we arrived earlier than the check-in time. They stored our luggage safely whilst we explored more of Reykjavik.

Once checked in, they left me a Happy birthday card (THANK YOU!) and Traditional Icelandic chocolate (absolutely amazing) at the table. Beds were great and the room service was amazing. Everything was spotless and clean.

Highly recommend choosing Alda Hotel, may choose them again if I come to Iceland again!

Positives:

Great location, near bus stop for all tours/airport bus and close walk to town. Lots of cafes/restaurants/gift stores nearby.

Being able to check in a bit early after a long journey was a massive plus.

Room was a good size and had everything we needed, hairdryer, coffee machine, toiletries etc.

Staff always available/visible if need any help.

Negatives:

Room was a bit dark, could do with more/stronger lighting. Especially as we went in winter with limited hours of daylight.

Bed wasn't that comfy, was quite bouncy and could feel some springs.

Could be more options at breakfast, especially hot options.

This is a very well kept hotel with great access to downtown and easy walking to a tour pick up spot. We had an amazing view from our room and the environment was quiet.

I thought the price was very expensive, but they mostly made up for it with service, which was on point and they helped to accommodate all of my needs.

The restaurant also makes good, healthy breakfasts.
