A Donegal Gem. Five Star welcome, Five Star service and Five Star food. Nestled in one of the most beautiful corners of Ireland. Attached to a traditional bar is the almost hidden gem of a restaurant which can rival the best. From moment I arrived with a friends a warm welcome. Our servers Ashleen, Maja and Annie not only gave a great welcome but can with great knowledge guide you through the options on a set menu. The starters are all to die for, despite the huge temptation of fresh local fish I took Pork and Pork Belly as main - best I have ever had. Around the table a Black Sole, Lamb and a Curry all got huge thumbs up. Watch your appetite we struggled with a very tasty cheese plate. Top of my agenda for next trip to Donegal.

Finally some good, proper 5* restaurant in co. Donegal. Happy to hear they won another award because they totally deserve it. It's an experience with interesting flavour combinations and beautiful presentation. The kitchen is open and you can see how they prep your food. Staff is really nice and not that pushy nice coming twice each course asking how's your food when your mouth is stuffed 😂
Is it pricey? Both yes (for local standards) and no (if you compare same level restaurants). But it's totally worth it and I would be happy to go back in summer when they have different menu.
Only thing: if your main is not hot let them know, mine was at room temperature, still tasty, but sure it would be better hot. Wasn't sure if that was intended or not, but server said all main dishes should have been hot.
And chocolate tart is best I have ever had and it wasn't  even my dessert of choice😂

It's the best restaurant in every aspect... service is excellent,  the bar and restaurant staff are friendly and professional and make you feel very welcome. The food is excellent beyond description in how well taught out it is and the flavours are amazing and the overall dining experience is very memorable.

Very interesting and spacious bar combined with a restaurant. Nice and huge back garden. Polite staff. They have live music on Saturday nights. The food is cold, but very pleasant both to the eye and the tongue. They also have the famous local beer Kinnegar Scraggy Bay on tap.
The restaurant is a story on its own! Polite, friendly and patient staff. Comfortable atmosphere. The meals are unbelievable, bursting with flavors that are combined in different genius ways. They are also a feast for the eyes, a true artistic product. We loved the whole restaurant experience and I do not have enough words to recommend their food !
