A Delightful 90 Minutes on the Water with Captain Jack

My family and I recently took the 1.5 hour boat tour with Captain Jack, and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Our guide Bryce was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, funny, and full of interesting stories about the city and its buildings. He had this wonderful way of mixing historical facts with humorous anecdotes that kept everyone engaged the entire time.

The hospitality on board was exceptional. They offered unlimited drinks (juice, beer, wine, and more) throughout the journey, and the freshly made waffles were a delicious treat! The best part was that everything was unlimited, so we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves without worrying about extra costs.

What really stood out to me was how accommodating they were with our baby. Traveling with an infant can be stressful, but the Captain Jack team went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable. Their thoughtfulness made a huge difference in our experience.

The 90-minute tour was the perfect length - enough time to see plenty of sights and learn about the area without getting restless. The boat was well-maintained and offered great views from every seat.

The tour was a very nice, private feeling group and our guide Mickey was amazing! The tour came with drinks (both for kids and adults!) and plenty of cheese, cookies, stroopwafels, and candies! Mickey was very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and gave us a wonderful look at Amsterdam through the canals. Filled with funny jokes and personable charm, she also gave us detailed information on some future spots to visit, or even resturant recommendations for after our tour. Overall, we spent about 90 minutes on the water with our awesome guide and saw all the big touristy spots, as well as some smaller ones too! I would definitely recommend this tour to any travellers in Amsterdam.

On the day of our tour we got a skipper her earned his strips! He did a great job. Very knowledgeable and confident & funny! The whole boat was decorated to have the cozy Christmas feel. They provided us with some great small bites and a variety of wines and beers and soft drinks. Truly a great experience. I also left my sunglasses on the boat and they were quick to respond and help me get my sunglasses back. We coordinated a time to meet again at the docks and they were still friendly and helpful returning me my sunglasses. Definitely recommend.

Great time! Recommend the evening tour so you can see the canal all lit up. Captain Kat was great! Beer, wine, soda, and snacks all included. 90 minutes. Room for about 20 on the boat. Great way to see and learn about both history and modern time Amsterdam.

My husband and I went on the 7pm evening cruise with JP and had an excellent time. It was nice meeting all the other guests. JP was entertaining, informative, and gracious. As the sun went down, the bridge lights came on making for a beautiful, alternative view of the city. I was initially not that excited about doing a canal cruise, but after picking a company with great reviews, they did not disappoint! I would highly recommend them!
