En härlig, Välkomnande plats med utsökt mat! Vi åkte dit igår kväll med våra två barn. Mannen som arbetar där (kanske han var ägare? ) hjälpte oss snabbt att hitta ett bord för oss och våra två barn, visade oss en Engelska meny och var bara allmänt mycket Välkomnande och vänlig. Våra grillade saltade paprika, potatis bravas och köttbullar var alla perfekta och bra prissatta. Rekommenderar starkt.

Vi poppade in här för lunch. Servitören var verkligen vänlig och välkomnande. Vi var med våra två barn som är ganska äventyrliga eaters men de var lite trött och hungrig. Allt vi beställde var stor. Gick här på vår första natten bo på Hotel Astoria 7, en kort promenad bort. Ägare var underbar, talade bra engelska och hjälpt oss med våra mat val, en vegetarisk en kött eater. Vi hade gröna paprika, svamp risotto & chorizo ​​i cider - alla fantastiska. Rött vin var också gott, kom dit tidigt för ett utanför bord. Rekommenderas starkt.

Jag är alltid i San Sebastian och vid denna tid på året, jag försöker undvika den gamla staden. jag är glad att jag gav mig i väg till Bar Alex som jag fick att sitta ner utanför och har fantastisk pintxos serveras färska till mitt bord. Vi hade 6 Pintxos och 4 Crianzas och det var mindre än 20 Euro. Du kommer inte att få dessa priser i gamla stan. Ge en del av den riktiga lokala barer en gå, som Bar Alex och du kommer inte att bli besviken .

Den bästa tapas/pintxos jag någonsin har haft, faktiskt kan ha varit den bästa maten jag någonsin haft! Bra och vänlig service. Det är en mycket liten plats, vi åkte dit precis efter att de hade öppnat för middag och fick ett bord (på en lördag).

Vi valde denna opretentiösa bar på rekommendation av en vän som hade besökt år tidigare. Och vi är så glada att vi gjorde det. Vi tittade in i för lunch och möttes av en mycket hjälpsamma innehavaren (Alex antar vi!) han hjälpte oss välja pintxos och vin och både mer än levde upp till sitt rykte. Den bläckfisk, risotto, även kokta, kyckling, getost, & när du promenerar runt alla var helt fantastisk. Om vi har tid vi kommer tillbaka för ett par söta alternativ som vi tog slut tid och mage utrymme idag. Om du är i stan - missa inte det!

Vinlista ombord med druvsorter visas var så hjälpsamma och varje vi försökte var utsökt särskilt Allende Vita Rioja. Alla Pinxtos var utsökt särskilt bläckfisk. Vänlig service och hjälp att välja vin & mat.

Vi stannade i San Sebastian i två veckor och hade drycker/tapas Bar Alex varje natt. Jag kan säga tillräckligt stora ting om maten, personal, de andra beskyddare, vinlistan. Vi försökte en ny maträtt varje natt, och ingen misslyckats på något sätt. Guindillas är fantastiska, fois gras--perfektion. Bartendern introducerade oss ofta nya viner som blev omedelbar Favoriter. Bar Alex är en dold pärla.
