The stories of the photographers in the current exhibition were more impressive than the actual pics imo, but the forest of images was stunning.

The bookshop in the basement was absolutely adorable and a true gem. It's an off the beaten track unexpected surprise to discover this place,another wonder of London!

It's a small venue just off Oxford Street  which if you can avoid this time of year, will improve your mood, as it is sooooo slow with the crowds. :p

Always something amazing going on here, lots of gallery space, generally respectful gallery attendees and the fee is not bad considering how much you can get out of the various floors of art on display. Especially enjoy on Saturday late afternoons...and the bookshop is good too. Obviously walk with your wallet if you plan on buying hardback photography books!

I attended a very well organised important event today, a lecture by Professor Sir John Pendry, and met some eminent professors.
Imperial events are strongly recommended. The topics cover research at the forefront of science and technology.

Beautiful selection, without being overwhelming or too small. It was very well curated and I left with impressionable memories. The shop downstairs is absolutely worth visiting, as well.

The exhibition of pictures taken by the Italian photographer Letizia Battaglia are striking evidence of her incessant work to document what was happening in Sicily in the 70s, an era in which the Mafia was a parallel state within a state, where politicians and magistrates were executed ruthlessly and the families were seeing every day acts of violence, even torture, inflicted on their relatives, children included. This body of work was published in the newspaper called L’ora, a local paper in Palermo, and the images are showing the reality of the daily traumas and little boys of the Sicilian people. They are incredible pictures, in some of them is difficult to refrain from crying or despair, such is the unavoidable, emotional response of any observer that has a conscience once they realise what they are seeing is political and not merely esthetic. Each and every image demands attention, and makes you want to look at it again and again to comprehend the bestiality of what was happening. It is a must see, but beware : those images will stay with you.
