We usually like Westin hotels and have stayed at a number that were great, but this hotel is a bit dated. The pools and view are great though and the staff is very kind and accommodating. Our first two meals at the casual bar and grill restaurant were underwhelming but the breakfast is great and the upscale dining option at the hotel, sea and stones is fantastic. Recommend the passion fruit margarita there and the wood fired steak. All in all we had a great trip.

Our recent stay at the Westin Resort & Spa Cancun was overall good, but there were a few aspects that could have been improved. We had hoped for a room with a view of the ocean, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The room itself felt a bit outdated and quite dark, although we did appreciate the high ceiling, which gave it a more spacious feel.

The food was alright, but unfortunately, I felt a bit sick after one of the meals, which detracted from our experience. However, what really stood out was the friendliness and politeness of the staff in the restaurant. They truly enhanced our dining experience with their excellent service.

Despite the stormy weather during our visit, we were pleasantly surprised by how warm the pools were, allowing us to enjoy some relaxation by the water. The beds were also very soft and comfortable, which we appreciated after a long day.

For a one-night stay, it was okay, but we hope for a better experience in the future. Overall, the Westin Resort & Spa Cancun has potential, and with a few updates, it could be an even more enjoyable destination.

Avoid this hotel unless you love sitting through Marriott time share presentations.

Probably the worst check-in experience with a Marriott property, this hotel does the Westin name shame. Check-in couldn’t provide any information on amenities or events (were told to just look it up online). Once done check-in we were told in our welcome email to visit the concierge for a welcome gift - described as: “a limited edition Westin gift” to thank you for your loyalty to Marriott / Bonvoy. This was actually just a ploy to harass us into signing up for a timeshare presentation. When we said no (twice), they told us to to get up and leave, and as a concierge wouldn’t help us with any bookings for restaurants / activities, etc. To top it off - the “limited edition Westin branded gift” was actually a coupon for a small black coffee at their store.

Besides check-in - the property is trash, outdated, terrible layout (looks like they poorly merged two separate hotels into one). The food is extremely expensive - it’s cheaper to look elsewhere and pay the additional for an all-inclusive (which we left this resort and opted for). The rooms did have nice air conditioning, but also lots of cockroaches.

They do offer a paid “cocktail class” which should be renamed “cocktail demonstration” as you basically pay to watch the bartender make a drink. You don’t actually get to participate.

Please save yourself the pain, enjoy your vacation and book another property.

Very nice rooms with separate shower and tub. Clean as well. Location is good. Friendly staff and helpful. Daily fun free activities such as cooking classes or water aerobics. 3 restaurants on site with good food. Lots of lounge area and a heated pool. They have several other pools as well. I truly enjoyed my stay!!

Disgusting cleanliness in the rooms.
They never wash the bathroom
Dirty and upside down sheets
Catalina Rubí at the reception was worth the complaint and with a terrible face
Dirty glasses are never changed
The shower full of mold
sticky floors
The walls dripping with soda

The cost of the room is a lot for the deplorable and pork service on the part of the employees.

The same old food

Burgers, tortilla chips, cheese fingers, horrendous tacos and farm-raised shrimp.

If you think you deserve better, don't even come.
