Calamari was a bit cold , Pasta tasted great, the sauce tastes handmade and good portion control but scallops that I had added were a bit burned on top flaking burnt pieces all in my dish when it cut them up, and were a bit overcooked, everything else in the pasta was great, the veal tasted not so fresh and wished there was more potatoes to equal out the amount of veal is what my partner said but thought the sauce was good not sure if it’s worth driving 45 for again, it’s good but not sure

Tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend (1/11/2025).  Upon walking in, the atmosphere was so-so.  It for sure could use updating.  The walls were bland. I took my husband out for his birthday and we were looking forward to this.  We met a couple of friends.  I ordered chicken parmesan.  Luckily, the waiter said it came with mashed potatoes, and would I like pasta instead.  I'm so thankful he told me that, because I for sure did not want mashed potatoes. My husband got veal parmesan.  My chicken was burned.  You could visibly see black around the edges, and the chicken was dry.  I gave my husband a bite of the non-burned area, and he said he could taste the burned flavor.  The marinara sauce was very tomato-y and bland.  It needed a lot more seasoning.  Before we left, the restaurant had the worst smell ever.  It smelled like raw sewage.  I had to step outside for fresh air.  I mentioned this to a staff member and they opened up the window.  We paid our bill and got out of there.  The service was very good, but we will not go back.

This was one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The atmosphere was calming and inviting 😌; the food was outstandingly delicious 😋, I was in good company with my friend.

Headline: Surpringly Poor

----The Good:

The menu options,  environment,  parking,  lain,  traffic & decor was decent but below par for the area.  I'll consider it good because this place has potential.

----The Bad:

The items served in my images were fairly bland. The red noodles & parm was acceptable,  but everything else was disappointing including the dessert. Service was slow,  but the place was dead so only 1 waiter was observed.

----The Ugly:

ProTip: If you are going to charge $25-50/plate, $12-16 for a salad the size of half a grapefruit or a 6oz drink, consider using quality ingredients. The astonishingly large plates overshadowed the underwhelming entrees.  Aside from WILDLY overpriced, the response to disliking the dessert was impressively rude. Next time a patron who expresses early in the dialog is writing a review, so not LAUGH when I ask to return an item as if I was the one in the wrong for disliking a 99 cent daily- based jello box product. I am mostly overlooking the past where I was over-charged $16 since it was corrected.

Tl;dl:  Try Franco's next door.  There is a reason this place had only 4 reservations on a Saturday evening and was dead (no customer would dare return).

After a long flight we had a TERRIFIC dinner at La Locanda. I had the penne chicken pasta and my partner had fettuccine Cajun  shrimp pasta, he loved how big the shrimp were.
