The hotel was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The view of the Bay Bridge from my room was a nice thing to have for my trip, thank you Zami.  In my opinion, the location was great to either walk or get public transportation to my destinations. Finally, this note is for hotels in general: amenity fees should either be included in the room’s price or be optional.

I booked with this hotel. On their Google site they show up as dog friendly. I've never had a problem with booking at hotels that state they are dog friendly. I call them to check rates, and they say that they don't allow dogs, only service animals. That's not 'dog friendly' at all, since you have to allow service animals by law.

This place is a pleasant gem. I stayed in a standard king room, which was small but just fine for me as a solo traveler. The location is excellent, just off the Embarcadero with easy access to many public transit options. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time I am in San Francisco.

The building is older, so sound insulation may be an issue for some that are sensitive to hearing their upstairs neighbor’s footsteps or faint conversations in nearby rooms.

The hotel is located right next to the ferry building. The rooms are small but for the price and location, you can make do. They serve complimentary pastry and coffee in the morning which is nice. There is a 20$ resort fee per night so beware of that. They also give access to the next door YMCA gym and pool which we didn’t use.

I stayed here for four nights. As other reviewers have said, the location is fantastic if you plan to hang out on the pier (and why wouldn't you?) It's built around the bones of an old building, but feels very modern inside other than some things like room layout and the very small elevator, which are definitely a relic of a bygone age. It was extremely clean too. The best part was the staff, though. They really went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, even going so far as to help some of my friends who were staying over at the Hyatt and ended up getting better service from the folks at my hotel than they could at their own.
