Landmark hotel with a wonderful collection of artifacts. Good service and excellent location about 30mn walk from the Ferry terminal. The room could be improved with a mini fridge and more amenities. The lounge offers simple breakfast and limited evening snacks.

Room was great but the hotel policy and staff are WILD.

Project ended one night early and the hotel is charging me for the night regardless. They stated that it still counts as an early cancellation and I will be charged for the night anyway.

I spoke with the hotel manager and they insisted this is their policy and there is Zero leeway.

I advise if traveling for business and/or pleasure...MAKE SURE your plans won't change because the Westin WILL NOT accommodate you in any way.

When I contacted bonvoy hoping something could be done as I have status with them.... I was told there was nothing they could do either.

In addition, the bell staff and valet are VULTURES. You better have cash for tips. No one has zelle, cash app or any other form of digital payment.

I can carry my own stuff. Thank you.

Rooms are on the smaller side and a bit dated, but still very nice and comfortable. We had a great view, but we definitely paid for it. Mostly what you would expect for an historic hotel.

There was a workers' strike going on while we were there, and the service suffered significantly as a result. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we checked our luggage. Once our room was ready, we called for our luggage, but an hour later we still hadn't received it. We needed to change for a party, so we just went down to the lobby and asked for it. No big deal, just not what you would expect.

I recently stayed at the Westin St. Francis, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet the high standards I have come to expect from Marriott properties. While I was initially greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff, the condition of the room left much to be desired.

On the first night, my partner and I discovered an unsettling issue—bed bugs. My girlfriend was bitten behind her ear, and upon killing one of the bed bugs, we found it to be engorged with blood. Concerned, we immediately moved all of our belongings to the bathroom to prevent any further spread, ensuring nothing would accompany us home. Upon inspecting the mattress cover, I found signs of bed bug fecal matter, indicating a potential infestation.

I promptly informed the manager, providing photographs of the bed bugs, but he denied the presence of bed bugs in the room. He assured me that a third-party inspection would take place. In addition, I requested cleaning for our belongings to ensure we did not inadvertently bring bed bugs with us. While the hotel staff arranged for our clothes to be cleaned and offered a new room, the overall experience was deeply disappointing.

The remainder of our stay was overshadowed by the anxiety of possibly taking bed bugs home. As a result, this experience significantly impacted our trip, and I cannot recommend the Westin St. Francis. I will not be staying at this property again in the future.

I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this historical hotel!  The food was delish!  The staff was friendly!  The glass elevator ride to the 31st for gave an incredible view of San Francisco!  This was my second stay this month!  I'll definitely return soon!
