Hidden piece of history right here in Flushing, Queens. Just blocks from Main Street and Macy's department store. Oh yeah, J Mart and the eatery in the basement.  Right behind the Bowne House is also two historical landmarks.  Three or four if one includes the Quaker House and Townhall and it's a couple blocks down Northern Blvd towards the entrance to the highway. But it's close enough that one can see all the historic places in one day and have snacks to munch on along the way.

My students enjoyed interacting with Emily, answering questions, and making connections to movies they have seen. This place is such a gem and there is so much to gain from your visit. The Bowne House is so rich with history, and I can't wait to learn even more on my next tour. I am definitely bringing my family and friends when they come to NYC.
