I recently spent seven nights at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The people there are simply amazing. From the concierge to the front desk, every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive.

I’d especially like to thank the lady manager at the front desk, who went out of her way to help me change to a room that was exactly what I needed for my week-long stay. She understood how important comfort was for such a long visit, and her kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference. I really appreciated the effort she put in—it’s rare to feel so taken care of.

The 2-star Michelin restaurant at the hotel was another highlight. The food was excellent, and the service matched the quality of the dishes. A special thank you to the restaurant manager, who made sure we got a table—dining there was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel.

But what really stood out to me during my stay was the people. The staff at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona are what make this hotel so special. Their dedication and warmth create an atmosphere that goes beyond luxury—it feels personal.

The Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona is by far the most fabulous hotel we’ve ever stayed at! Perfectly located in the heart of the city, it’s within walking distance of the best restaurants and shopping. The rooms are modern, spacious, and impeccably appointed, offering stunning views. Dining on-site is a true highlight—Moments, their Michelin-starred restaurant, is an absolute culinary experience.

We visited during the holiday season, and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, adding a magical touch to our stay. From the moment we arrived, Laura, our personal assistant, made us feel incredibly welcome. She greeted us upon arrival, personally escorted us to our room, explained all the amenities, and was available throughout our stay to assist with anything we needed.

The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. I can’t recommend the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona enough for anyone traveling to this incredible city—it truly sets the gold standard for luxury hospitality!

I AM SURPRISED!!

I usually stay at 5 stars hotels during my travels. This hotel was on another level. The smoothest check-in experience. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and supportive.

Special mentions:
- Maria who handled our check-in.
- All the concierge staff (they supported us in everything from locations to visit, transportation, etc).
- The doormen by the hotel entrance (they always welcome us and support us in luggage handling in and out. The best doormen I met during my travels).

Special Notes:
- The hotel location is perfect.
- I booked a garden room since I was afraid of street noise if I booked a boulevard room. The hotel was generous to upgraded our booking to boulevard room. Even though the room was on the first floor and the road outside was very busy and crowded, there was no noise in the room. We loved it so much.
- The toilet has hand-bidet.
- Housekeeping passed by several times to clean, check and refill any required items.
- The gym is small and has cardio and cable machines. It has all you need to train.
- The rooftop seating was great. However, we didn’t ask if they have, I wished if some battery candles were provide on the table during after sunset.

I totally recommend this hotel for you if you have a special occasion or you can just afford it. I will recommend it to all my friends. Also, I want to try other Mandarin Hotels in my next trips to see if I will have the same experience.
