Absolutely delicious food delightful atmosphere and kind service. The restaurant is dog friendly.

This was my 3rd visit to Au Vieux Moulin and I was careful not to order too much because the portions could be quite big. In fact the Discovery Menu was perfect as you get to taste different dishes and the portions were just nice. When in Alsace definitely go for the foie gras, they brought it to the Southwest and not the other way around. I would have like it pan-fried too, but it would have been too much then. The scallops were a little too chewy though.

The Volnay was good, the serving staff were friendly, attentive and at least bilingual. We have enjoyed everything we ordered today. It made it worth the trip to Lauterbourg from Stuttgart (which we make from time to time to renew our passports).

Always happy to return to the Old Mill which has evolved to a true Gourmand destination since the Jr. Chef took over. Friendly service, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the ingredients are always top.

Make sure to reserve in advance and remember, Flammkuchen is only served Sunday!
