I rarely give all five stars in any of my reviews, but this restaurant is worth deserving of 5 stars and more. This for sure was the highlight of our tour through northern Europe. Or deer friend took us there for lunch and boy at that time we had no idea that we were in for a real treat. From the amazing fresh food, to delicious refreshing drinks and finishing all up with a delicious dessert. We sat outside and the view of the lake and weather was wonderful. Most important was the great customer service. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall an excellent experience.  We for sure be back, and will recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang.
Flotter Service.
Sehr gutes Essen. Große Portionen die auch satt machen zum angemessenen Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren begeistert und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Im nächsten Jahr möchten wir wieder kommen …

Das wohl schönste Ambiente in der ganzen Region ⭐️.

Die Bilder sprechen für sich. Hier hat der Inhaber keine Kosten und Mühen gescheut und alles vom Feinsten restauriert. Die Location ist beeindruckend und alleine schon einen Besuch wert.

Aber auch das Essen ist nicht zu unterschätzen, der Apfel-Mandelkuchen war einer der besten Kuchen die ich bisher gegessen habe. Aber auch das Abendessen (hier wird ein großer Schwerpunkt auf regionale Zutaten gelegt) ist einen Besuch wert. Zumal ist der Service äußerst zuvorkommend und so wie man es sich für ein solches Restaurant erhofft.

Die Preise sind eher hoch für die Region, was in meinen Augen für eine solche Location aber gerechtfertigt ist.

Ich komme gerne wieder und freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Nachtrag 🐶:
Wir waren mit unserem Hund hier und selbst dieser war vom Service angetan, da er direkt eine Schale mit Wasser bekommen und ein Kompliment für seine Statur bekommen hat, somit freut er sich sicherlich ebenso auf den nächsten Besuch.

Es steht und fällt mit dem Service. Das Ambiente ist immer noch eine klare 5 von 5 und an meiner restlichen Meinung hat sich in dem Jahr auch nichts getan. Aber in letzter Zeit musste ich leider vermehrt den Service bemängeln, was mich nun auch dazu bewegt meine Bewertung zu updaten (-1 Stern).
Bei meinem letzten Besuch in der vergangenen Woche, mussten wir nicht nur lange warten, bis uns ein Platz zugewiesen wurde, sondern umso länger bis unsere Bestellung dann aufgenommen wurde. Dies geschah leider auch alles andere als serviceorintiert. Der Kuchen war dann wie gewohnt lecker, aber bis wir nach ca. 2h nach einer Rechnung fragten, kam kein Personal mehr vorbei um uns zu fragen, ob wir noch etwas wünschen (so bleibt nicht nur die Kundenzufriedenheit, sondern auch der Umsatz auf der Strecke).
Wir würden uns freuen nächstes mal wieder vom Service schwärmen zu können - so wie beim Besuch im vergangenen Februar. Sollte es so sein, gibt es hier ein erneutes Update.

Probably the most beautiful ambience in the entire region ⭐️.

The pictures speak for themselves. The owner spared no expense or effort and restored everything to the finest standards. The location is impressive and worth a visit alone.

But the food shouldn't be underestimated either, the apple and almond cake was one of the best cakes I've eaten so far. But the dinner (here there is a big focus on regional ingredients) is also worth a visit. The service is extremely courteous and just as you would hope for a restaurant like this.

The prices are rather high for the region, but in my opinion this is justified for such a location.

I would love to come back and look forward to my next visit!

Addendum 🐶:
We were here with our dog and even he was impressed by the service, as he was immediately given a bowl of water and complimented on his stature, so he is certainly looking forward to the next visit.

It depends on the service. The ambience is still a clear 5 out of 5 and the rest of my opinion hasn't changed this year. But recently I've unfortunately had to complain more about the service, which has now prompted me to update my rating (-1 star).
During my last visit last week, we not only had to wait a long time until we were assigned a seat, but also even longer until our order was taken. Unfortunately, this was anything but service-oriented. The cake was delicious as usual, but until we asked for an invoice after about 2 hours, no staff came by to ask us if we wanted anything else (so not only customer satisfaction but also sales fell by the wayside ).
We would be happy to be able to rave about the service again next time - like we did when we visited last February. If this is the case, there is another update here.
