Well, where do you start? This was a recommendation by our host in Popoli. Don Evandro is a progressive, forward-thinking chef with what appears to be strong roots in the region and the ingredients it offers. From mushroom and onion consommés infused with local mountain herbs to local duck and an apparently local Popoli onion, Don Evandro's mastery of cuisine is excellent and puts him on track for an unbeatable legacy in the region. Don't overlook this restaurant; it's excellent, and I've never written that before. Seasonal, fresh, sophisticated, and down right clever. If that's not enough, the dining is simple, striped back with a modern flair. The staff are also exceptional, striking the right balance between attentive and elusive so as not to interfere with the moment, no matter who you're with. Try the menu creativitiva for a blind folded gastronomic tour.

We were very fortunate to discover this small (only 5 tables) fine dining Ristorante. Every single one of the dishes were inspired and delicious. Our recommendation is the 6 course chef's tasting menu. Around 65 euros per person. We really enjoyed our visit.

We have been glad to choose this restaurant among others that have been proposed by the owner of our accommodation.
The dished are one of the best ever tasted. The food combinations are well chosen by the chef valuing the properties of the food raw materials.
The location is cozy and well furnished, it lets the guests feel like home.
Surely, we will come back on our next trip to Abruzzo.

We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Make sure to book in advance as they only have a few tables inside. The location itself is very tastefully made and you can see how much love they put into details. They can adjust dishes to match gluten-free / senza glutine requirements - which was great! We noted that already during reservation. The food itself was very good! We recommend to go there when you are in the region and want to have a special and exquisite local food experience with rare combos that taste great!

An astonishing meal to remember for ages. The chef is a serious painter and cooks accordingly. His creations are little masterpieces of form, content and taste. Like Morandi, he makes jewels out of otherwise humble ingredients: A single onion crowned with a saffron petal (all local ingredients) may be his signature highlight. Michelin stars are meaningless here. This man is cooking like no one else. Anywhere. Seriously. Pay attention.
