The only 5 star is the atmosphere and the setting. The rest are a big 0. The food has no taste at all. You can feel that the cook (not chef) has no feeling or understanding of food and is probably given some instruction to follow. Which will never work for food. You need to have love for food your cooking to come out nice. The mussels were not fresh, the stake was overcooked and I sent it back. And canceled it. The salad was under seasoned, and the shrimps were bland. The only item that did make sense was the olives and the bread.

We had an incredible Christmas and anniversary lunch with food that's something to write home about especially in this vast Cape Town dining landscape — a feat in and of itself. Our waiter was friendly and went the extra mile in providing us with a great service. Definitely coming back for everything on the menu. The entire thing was a standout, they spared on no meal. Drinks were disproportionately expensive but that was easily overlooked considering everything else

Another establishment that needs a 6 star function! Lloyd. Our waiter. What an absolute legend. Every person in this establishment is excellent and looks fit for a runway.

All the flattery aside. The chef is a show stopper himself. Food is well presented, proper portions and incredibly tasty. It’s not cheap but it’s great value for money all things considered. The surrounding area is nice for a meander too. Exquisite venue and surrounds. Must book. Will be back.

Our plans for a picnic at a nearby wine farm were washed out by the weather, but discovering Blanko turned out to be a stroke of luck! The restaurant’s setting and ambiance are stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, friendly, attentive, and well-trained, and the food was absolutely delicious.

A particularly memorable moment was when our waiter surprised us with a sweet dessert treat after learning it was a birthday celebration. This thoughtful gesture truly elevated the experience.

We wholeheartedly recommend Blanko to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience and have happily added it to our list of favorite spots.

Fabulous fine dining restaurant .. beautiful venue and gardens, fabulous service, and ambiance. Perfect if you want to spoil someone special. It was fairly pricey at R1,700 for two people but totally worth it .. 👌
