One of our best meals in Japan. The salmon bowls are amazing! Some of the best salmon I’ve had ever. All the appetizers were also so nice and delicious. Very good value for how much you get (would be a lot more expensive in North America). Servers were so friendly :) Wish we had found this place before our last night here.

This sushi restaurant is one of the best I’ve ever been to, and it truly stands out compared to the nice sushi spots I’ve tried in the U.S. The sashimi here was incredibly fresh, cut thick, and practically melted in my mouth. I ordered the Sushi Bowl lunch set, and it was amazing. It came with appetizers, miso soup, and mochi for dessert—definitely worth it. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Plus, it’s conveniently located right across from Kawaguchiko Station.

Go here if you are celiac (gluten free)!!!! This place was great, I was blown away by the level of gluten free options, considering how wheat heavy Japan is. They fry their tempura in rice flour, they also have gluten free soy sauce !!! And then even have a dedicated gluten free meal option although I’m sure you could ask for amendments to the others if you wish.

Plus, everything tasted sooo good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shaw's Sushi Bar & Dining, and I can confidently say that the sushi here is among the best I have ever experienced! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated not only by the inviting ambiance but also by the exquisite presentation of the dishes. Each sushi roll was a work of art, beautifully plated and almost too stunning to eat—definitely deserving of a five-star restaurant!

While the prices may seem high at first glance, I assure you that the value is absolutely worth it. The meal begins with an array of flavorful appetizers that are both generous and satisfying, ensuring that you leave feeling full and content. Each bite was bursting with taste, setting the stage for the star of the show—the sushi.

The customer service at Shaw's was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They were eager to recommend their favorites, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

However, I did encounter a couple of minor disappointments during my visit. The miso soup was surprisingly bland and lacked the depth of flavor I had anticipated. Additionally, I was a bit disheartened to learn that they ran out of one of the popular roll options just 11 minutes after opening. Given how incredible the sushi was, I can understand why it sells out quickly!

Despite these small hiccups, my overall experience at Shaw's Sushi Bar & Dining was phenomenal. I left with a full stomach and a smile on my face, already planning my next visit. If you're a sushi lover, don’t hesitate to treat yourself; this place is truly a gem!
