I appreciated the place after I joined the free English tours around the outdoors and the western Palace. It’s a snapshot of what life was like before all these modern luxuries the Koreans manufacture like air conditioners, washers, steamers, fridge. It has a sad history but a significant one. The subway stop is City Hall. Watch for the Changing of the Guards ceremony Tuesday to Sunday.
