Every year I wait with so much anticipation for the date of our civil wedding anniversary to come back to this incredible place. As dedicated gastronomes and foodies as we are, we are consistently drawn to the artistry and philosophy that define this exceptional restaurant . This year, we chose to experience lunch instead of dinner, allowing us to enjoy the enchanting view of the golf course – a tranquil and picturesque setting that perfectly complemented the occasion.

Toya’s dual Michelin distinctions – the classic star for excellence and the green star for their commitment to sustainable, 0 km ingredients – are reflected in every detail, from the exquisite flavors to the thoughtful presentation. It is more than a meal; it is a symphony of taste, craft, and nature.

Toya went above and beyond once again to surprise us  – they ordered a stunning chocolate calligraphy from a Japanese couple for our anniversary gift cake, and the result speaks for itself. Just looks at this:🥺

1.	Peaceful Setting: Toya is located in a serene and picturesque area, right on the border of a golf course and adjacent to a small hotel. The tranquil surroundings make for a relaxing dining experience.
2.	Popularity: Despite visiting on a weekday at lunchtime, the restaurant was full, indicating its popularity and strong reputation.
3.	Excellent Service: From start to finish, the service level was outstanding. The staff were attentive and professional, enhancing the overall dining experience.
4.	Unique Menu Concept: The restaurant offers “surprise” menus where you select the number of courses, and the Chef and his team prepare dishes based on the freshest available ingredients. This adds an element of excitement and ensures a unique dining experience each time.
5.	Extensive Wine List: Toya boasts a large wine list and offers a wine pairing option with the menus, which can enhance the culinary experience. The sommelier’s house cocktail, featuring blueberry liqueur and pine spirit, is a delightful addition to the drink offerings.

Cons:

1.	Isolated Location: The restaurant is somewhat isolated, situated near the small city of Faulquemont. A vehicle is necessary to get there, which might be inconvenient for some guests.
2.	Language Barrier: While the service was excellent, the staff’s limited proficiency in English might pose a challenge for foreign guests. It’s advisable to have some knowledge of French or be prepared for some communication difficulties.

Overall: Toya offers an excellent dining experience with its peaceful setting, exceptional service, and unique menu concept. Despite the need for a vehicle to reach the somewhat isolated location and the potential language barrier, it is definitely worth a visit for a memorable

The best restaurant of the region to my mind. The dishes are excellent and always inventive, trying to propose something new.
The location is wonderful and the view on the golf is wonderful under the sun.
The waiters are very kind and always at our service. The restaurant proposes present cards to offer a meal there to friends, which is a really great idea.

It was an amazing dinner we had with family on June, 22nd, my belated birthday party 🥳
It wasn’t my 1st experience dining at Michelin awarded restaurants, but definitely the best one. Food, service, atmosphere…everything was 5+. Especially I would reward wine pairing. The choice of each wine was perfect and accompanied each meal the best way.
My favorite dishes were: soup with 3 types of strawberries and pigeon as a main course.
Also beef carpaccio.. usually I’m a not a big fan of it, this time it was amazing

Impressive in many ways. First of all, I have to booked 2 months in advance for this restaurant and it was worth the wait. The restaurant was in a golf course so you have amazing view from the restaurant. As you can guess by the name, it has a lot of Japanese’s influence; the dishes, interior design, and the vibes. We were fortunate enough to visited in black truffle season, my favorite dish was the pain perdu with mushrooms cream and slices of truffle on top.
