From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience at ‚la Jacobine was exceptional. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that made us feel immediately at home. The staff greeted us with a smile and provided impeccable service throughout the entire meal—attentive but never overbearing.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The [signature dish] was a standout—perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and it was evident that the chef took great pride in every element of the dish.

What truly set the experience apart was the attention to detail. The wine pairing suggestions were spot-on, and our server took the time to explain the nuances of each choice. Every course flowed seamlessly, with the timing of the dishes being impeccable.

Overall, our visit was an absolute delight from start to finish. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines such outstanding food, service, and atmosphere, and we’ll certainly be returning soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience!

Wonder dinner, excellent staff, highly recommend. We had the lamb and duck. Both were amazing! I would get the duck everyday! The lamb was delicious but mint forward- my husband loved it! Make a reservation, the fill up fast.

Had a lovely dinner here! We didn't book in advance so we had to wait but it was definitely very well worth it. Food was lovely and our waiter was exceptional at answering our questions and making us feel welcomed. Everything comes with its price, and Jacobine's is quite fair for the great food and vibe. Would definitely recommend!

Very good, the duck was very soft and service was quick.

But this review is more about the clientele than the food. La Jacobine is located in ground zero of the Paris tourist ghetto. Every customer is a foreigner and every review for this place is from a tourist. So, I would take with a grain of salt, their comments that this place serves the best onion soup they ever had. How many places do tourists who spend a few days in Paris really know about which restaurants are the best?

All the google reviews result in more tourists coming parroting the prior reviews on "best onion soup" causing long waits at this small place. If you are able to get a table without a long wait, then this is a good choice. But don't waste your time waiting an hour for a table if you are here on a short visit.

If you are looking for authentic French cuisine, this is the place to go! It was easily one of our favourite spots in the city, and it came at a very affordable price. The food itself was delicious! To start, we tried the French onion soup and the escargot, both of which were very authentic and tasty. For our main course, I tried the duck tajine, which was equally as delicious and bursting with flavour! Overall, everything was perfectly portioned and thoughtfully made with high-quality ingredients. To top it all off, the restaurant is in a beautiful location in the heart of the Latin Quarter, and the staff were splendid as well.
It is important to note that since it is a popular spot, there will be a lineup outside. My recommendation is to stop by a day or two early and make a reservation in person, this way you can guarantee your table without the wait.
