Amazing meal. Even better service. Food was thoughtful and intentional. Very unique flavors. A meal I will remember for a long time. Incredible wine pairing too!

Fabulous experience. Spicy, delicate food, beautifully presented. Attentive service and restful atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion. Well deserves its Michelin star, in my view!

I have been to over 20 Michelin restaurants in France. This was the best 1 star Michelin restaurant I’ve been to and at par as some of the two star Michelin restaurants I’ve been to. After enjoying every dish. I can tell the chef of this restaurant is extremely talented and passionate about cooking. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant for a memorable experience.

Food:  French with Creole/SE Asian influence, as the chef is from Reunion Island, which have plenty of Asiatic population living there.  Interesting flavours.

Service:  Staff is very friendly, but very much short of Michelin* quality.  Although patrons should not be a part of their rating, the quality of diners here are low and the staff match them.

Everyone holding their glass by the bowl like a cognac glass (both red and white), and then the waiter helped pour a customer’s white wine in a decanter and kept it (un-chilled) near their table whilst both the couple kept swirling the white wine by the bowl.

A good waiter would advise otherwise and should not offer a decanter for white wine.

So far away from the Tv show cliché

Those who follow me may have realized that I appreciate more the taste than the look. That’s why I prefer chef with hidden surprises, strong characters than just an Instagramable dish. To be honest, I was a bit afraid of going to a Tv contestant. So often, Tv shows tend to value look over taste and experience. Yet again, I was wrong. Like others with exotics roots (Oxte, Geaam, etc…) she knows how to modulate spices to tell her story without the spices being the story. That shows skills and maturity.

But more of all, it’s beautiful and it is good! So she’s very far from the reality Tv cliché… the star is clearly there for a reason
The place was quiet when I was there, so it’s hard for me to judge the crowd. The place has a good and beautiful vibe, just like the food. I went for a friendly lunch, but I could have been business. The evening dinner is great for couples.

It’s a solid one star that one should try as an alternative from the more classical haute cuisine or from the Bistronomy.

Update 2022:
Went back 12 months after. One of the very nice surprises. I appreciated it even more the second time, which is rare. I do think it’s because there were some improvement. It seems a bit more focused. Still, the management of spices is really impressive. I would go just for that. There’s something that reminds me of Pic (Valence).
