Disappointing Experience for a special Birthday - Far from Michelin Standards

I recently visited Moulin d'Alotz to celebrate a special birthday, expecting an exceptional evening at a Michelin-starred establishment. Unfortunately, the entire experience was deeply disappointing.

The food was underwhelming, to say the least. Each dish lacked flavor and creativity, leaving us questioning how it earned such accolades. The service only added to our dismay — staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making us feel like an afterthought rather than valued guests.

After attempting to give feedback on our concerns, the waiters simply disappeared, further demonstrating a lack of care or professionalism. On top of that, most of the staff didn’t speak English, which made communication almost impossible for us, leading to more frustration throughout the night.

Cleanliness was another major letdown, especially in the bathrooms, which were shockingly unkempt for a restaurant of this supposed caliber.

I had anticipated a memorable birthday celebration, but instead, it was a night filled with frustrations. Moulin d'Alotz falls far short of what a Michelin-starred experience should be, and I would hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking a fine dining experience.

Very very good restaurant.
All the dishes are remarkable, the squab and hake top.
The service is perfect, attentive.
The place is beautiful, quiet.
