Wonderful Prussian palace about 30’ from the center of Berlin (subway + bus ride). We were not interested in visiting the inside of the palace (12€) and the good thing is that access to the gardens is free, giving you great views of the palace and a good occasion to relax walking the woods and gardens.

Well for the hype that was given on social media 🙄 in reality it was very average.  I have seen much better palace in Germany.  It is very dark and dinge in some areas. And you will be charged separately if want to visit the new wing of the palace. They do have a combo ticket for €19

The palace was absolutely amazing!
I'd say it looked somewhat unassuming from the outside - big but not what I was expecting. However the interiors were absolutely incredible. The detail everywhere (including on the ceilings) was beautiful.
The gardens were lovely, though a little sparse however that is likely due to the time of year we visited.
Would definitely recommend.

Great to visit during an afternoon however I think during winter time, of course the garden are still maintained. However, it can get quite muddy and its grey. I’m sure in the summertime. It’ll be beautiful because the trees and the surroundings will have blooms.

Really worth the ticket price. So many things to see. We ask the entrance for how long the visit of the old and new palace lasts, and you will need more than the two hours they tell you if you want to read a bit about the history.
